The US and China meet in annual S.E.D. (ie. Strategic and Economic Dialogue) meetings. No one knows what kind of deals are being made.

The US and China have co-existed peacefully and both prospered for 50 years. I don't sense that China is willing to take on the United States at this point. Hence, I think China will sit out Syria.

I think the ball is in the US court. If China becomes sufficiently frustrated with the US, we should see incremental resistance.

Things are kind of tense. I believe China and the US are neither willing to take on the other. However, both are frustrated with the other party. China wants the US out of the South China Sea. On the other hand, I think the US is mad that China lent Russia a lot of money to keep the Russian economy afloat. The US wants Russia out of the Ukraine.

I don't think its China,.. I think its USA that is having a problem. USA had dominated the world for some time now, and now they are so used to it that they can't accept some1 getting powerfull.. and that is the problem,.. they believe(and rightly) that China will surpass America and so it starts making the ill moves.. creating tension for both nations...

on topic . what the thread should be is the "sco being an eastern equivelant of nato in 10 years"
even thats weird. the only way i can see this as being a major threat to "the west" is if the sco as a single unit makes foreign millitary action, i.e. syria, or iraq possibly libya. aka cleanup after nato and its allies. which is possible but unlikely as russia is going it alone and some members of the sco may disagree with direct intervention (china)

You have served in US military and you are(correct me) taught to shoot and end problem for once and for all.However,I have find it more effective in several cases just to have a nice talk and kind support.I find it useful to ask a troll to stop trolling first or why engaged in trolling and have found them transforming into good posters.
So,one must listen for once that what is the problem,and I advise you to stay away from trouble by simply not giving importance to those who hate you and my advise is same to those as well who have issues with you.

Anyway, back on topic, any such alliance would require one country to literally fight for another country for something that may not concern them to begin with. Would China fight for Russia in Syria? Or Would China fight in Iraq for Iran? Or Iran fighting In Ukraine? I just don't see it coming.

Before this can be move on to the issue, there are also points that you will need to protect your alliance member unconditionally, and that's what eke the Chinese or the Russian to begin with, I mean, why would any of them want to be dragged into a conflict they did not start?

lol, maybe you do your thing and I do mine, the time is beyond talking, maybe 6 months ago, we can talk about how people disrespect other people, but not now, not anymore.

thats what an alliance is, a group of countries. just becuase one country in an alliance does not like the decision of the rest of the group doesnt the rest have to simply stop and convice the reminder to get on board. think of it like this. syria. china like russia does not want assad to fall and see it in the hands of a nato controlled puppet government,like urkraine. it may not send ships, or jets or put boots on the groud, but it will help via iran and sending weapons to syria via russia and iran. also now that i think of it a group on the scale of nato is a bad idea for the reason of possible diagreements and possible internal bickering by a possible conflict between india and pakistan or anything else. i think a secret pact, which would be more suited as countries can be more flexible and would be seen less as a threat to other countries.

1. India has informed the US not to meddle in Indo-Pak affairs beyond what India says.
Russia as a long time partner knows this and thus has never even tried to go beyond what we have said. So no, Russia is not prodding us at all on anything related to Pakistan.

2. China has zero leverage or importance for us. Unlike Pakistan for whom China is next to US in terms of leverage and influence, what they say is downright irrelevant to us. This was communicated officially to Beijing in more diplomatic terms when a few years back they did issue a statement on Pakistan's prodding. Since then, after our response was communicated to them, they have remained absolutely quiet on the issue.

3. India would have no military alliance with any nation barring Russia.

4. What India does(also Pakistan) at this point is irrelevant because neither is a full member of SCO. So SCO is free to go ahead and form any alliance.

By joining SCO,India automatically joins RATS (Regional Anti terrorist Structure) of SCO nations & so does Pakistan. Regular military excercises are held between SCO members every 3-4 years, SCO also has signed agreements with Russian led military alliance of central asian nations CSTO, ... SCO is a security organization to check in on NATO's creep into the eastern hemisphere. The concept of SCO makes no sense when two nuclear armed members are at each others throats.
Secondly your argument about international pressure makes no sense , ask any student of international relations , every country on this earth experiences it. All the pundits & analysts across the world are saying it. Pressure from Moscow & Beijing did play its role, one is a major economic partner & the other one is a major defence partner of India. Moreover US has consistently pressurized India to come to the table, traditional antagonistic attitudes between the two countries are in no one's interest anymore as a result of which you can see all these developments. No country can live aloof from international geopolitical reality, this forms basis of international relations, thus your argument stands nullified.
