My First Order with Daraz.pk: Pakistan Incredibly Affordable?!

Some things to note: The Shipping Address is understandably the address in Pakistan. But even the Billing Address is also entered the Pakistani address--no option for overseas address. However, during the Payment step, one can choose credit card (which could be American, for example) and then the order goes through. Didn't think credit card companies allow wrong billing address?
Anyway, hopefully this will add to Pakistan's foreign exchange some; Daraz offers from groceries to multi-million Rupees automobiles!! With the current exchange rates, these are some whopper deals to order for the families back home.

how were you able to process the order, I know in Canada billing address must match the address on credit card otherwise credit card rejects the payment.

Ok Im the stage where we add shipping address, but my billing address has to be from Canada otherwise it won't go through. It would suck if it only can accept a Pak address.

If you pay via Credit or debit then no problem if you enter whatever address

Majority of Pakistanis earn around Rs30k per month. While in US at least $2k per month.

Basically you spent about 2% of average Pakistan salary on your order vs just 0.2% US salary. Huge difference if you ask me. Dont forget that in Pakistan minimum wage is Rs12k or something and Rs30k per month isnt norm either.

World over online purchase has mulitple checks, which are credit card number, name of card holder, expiry date of card, 3-digit code on back of card AND billing address of credit card. All have to match if purchase has to go through.

Government doesn't impose minimum wage in Pakistan. Maybe for government jobs, it is imposed but not anywhere else.

Yes you are right but I only point to govt's set minimum wage because less then that will be considered crime

dude how many times have you used Credit card for online purchases, I do it at least 3 times a day, stop talking nonsense. It varies from country to country and financial regulation in issuer country and I am 100% sure US and Canadians have same regulations and his is the US issued card that is why I am asking, if it was pakistani card I wouldnt have asked.

I'm using UBL Wiz MasterCard on Aliexpress, Daraz, Careem, play store, Microsoft and some other webites regularly but never face problem due to unmatched billing address even Careem not asked billing address.
P.S. I'm also minor developer of e-commerce website and payment api's and never listen frim any customer about this problem. In Pakistan mostly used gateway is Easypay.

You're correct.

It depends on sites. Some sites are strict and if any information is not matching, they reject the order. Others are lax.

I personally think this is nonsense. You can't stop fraud like this. Have had customers who purchased something, profited off it then like aholes, do a chargeback. Even with fully matching info.

Now to the quality of the items... so far only one feedback but that person is hard to please: "'Langra' Mangoes not that great compared with Chaunsa Mangoes. The delivered mangoes more like 'Keris' (unripe mangoes). Also, the apricots were not so great. The cherries were small and not the big ones you see in stores... Don't use Daraz again!".

But they have distributed the fruits and are going to eat them! Can't be that bad, right? I'd say go for it? What's $4-5 to have some fruits or veggies delivered to your family and friends? It's dirt cheap in American dollars and still edible. Oh, while at that... there are also vehicles for sale around Rs. 3.1 million

Sir payments verified through CCV number basically not billing address. VAS not used in mostly issuer authorities but its also depends on beneficiary's system of handling these payments and orders.

For your first part: its not mandatory for validate through billing address they only do when they feel they have fraud orders and again that's depends on company and its not illegal.
For about quality its ok in these prices but a door of betterment always open
