Muslims in Mathura hold anti-cow slaughter convention

You need guts to be sensitive about others religious and especially if you belong to a Muslim community…only Indian Muslims have that guts!

They are not afraid of anything; they are true Indians…otherwise their ancestors would have fled to a land dedicated only for Muslims!

Your comment also deserves a lol. So

faith and religion should have no place in govt, if govt is doing wrong by using controling money from temples tthen Hindus should form a org to take over it from govt.do the right thing ,don't insist on doing another wrong in compensation to something wrong happening already.

Wrong again. Faith has nor place to play in govt. but in India religion has a place in govt. That is why govt. gives Haj subsidy, does not monitor & control flow of foreign funds to churches and Masjids. Govt. of India has also not returned land taken away by Hindu temples during british rule but has stayed land granted to christian churches by the british.

Second if India is a secular country why should ONLY Hindu protest about govt. interfering in Temples ? Should'nt all Indians protest including Christians and Muslims ?

Christians and Muslims have kept quite about this for the past 60 years .......how is that 'secular' ? :azn:..... in fact they have not even support other Hindus in their protest :ashamed:

Yes. Church and Masjid are exempt by the grace of the congress govt.

it's very convenient to blame congress for everything, what stopped bjp from handing it over to Hindu trusts ? truth is Hindus lacked a centralized or organized structure to take care of their religion and temples etc so govt had to fill tin void, otherwise some groups, families, would have got away with all the wealth.

Can u pls give me some official link which would back your claim that govmt takes away donations recived by Shirdi and Tirupati temples..?

As far as Church is concerned, our constitution has given some freedom to minority and Church has made best use of it by providing education not just to Christians but to many majority Hindus....

you mean Indian "constitution" right? (and not indian construction).

I start with the basic principle of "who makes laws" in a parliamentary democracy.

Answer: Parliament

(and not some street thug Mullah sitting in some mad house madrassah)

Your question: Who decides if any law is against the constitution.

Answer: High Court.

Hope this helps.

p.s. I see many posters do not make an effort to learn basic "civics". And thus a lot of PDF posts are based on "emotions" and "utter lack of knowledge and understanding". Sorry to say.

It seems to be a community's wish..
I am sure Indian law makers are busy enough to not bother about what a particular community wants to do in a particular district.

it's not like they have the time to do something like fix prices of samosas in the parliament. :D

who said hate speech is reserved against Christians and Muslims ?
hate speech can be against any religion, community, cast or creed .I am against hate speech against any section including Hindus.

the point is about hypocrisy in being fine with hurting Hindu sentiments by killing cows but not being fine with hurting minority' sentiments using Hate speech. Cow killing is far worse than Hate speech for most Hindus.

about govt interfering temples then it's a concern of Hindus as it's an encroachment on their rights.
I don't know about land given by British and other things but as I said earlier if something wrong has happened or happening try I
to fix it rather than insisting on doing another wrong in favour of Hindus.

hate speech and killing of cow is different. India is a secular country and cow is considered to be holy among only a section of Hindus(majority).hence it's wrong to ban cow slaughter based on the belief of a section of a religion. btw hujj subsidy is being removed.

You can google The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act.

If Hindu temples had the money they too could have provided education to not just Hindus but also to christians. BTW there was a study done in India that showed most christian school and colleges employ Christians as their teaching and non teaching staff in violation against discrimination against religion. Christian constitute 2% of the population but in missionary schools and colleges the percentage of christians staff (teaching and non teaching) will always be more than 2%. Usually its 20 to 80% Christians.

You will also note that among the students in missionary schools and colleges the % of Christians students is also more than 2%. That is also discrimination against hindus as sanctioned by Govt. of India. via congress. Of course this discrimination is state sanctioned and is called 'reservation'.

so it is just a wish?

not a law?

May be I misread the OP.

do you have statistics of schools managed by Hindus ? it will be the same story. btw where is the link to your claims ?

That is a bold statement to make. Kindly offer proof or report or some kind that show only 'a section' of Hindus is disturbed by cow slaughter.

In a country of 990 million Hindus how may find cow slaughter offensive? Dont you think its an important data to have ?

BTW Hujj subsidy is not being removed due to govt. action. As per hearing on a PIL, Supreme Court has directed the GoI to reduce Huj Subsidy and eliminate it in 10 years. however GoI under congress has appealed against this verdict as well. It clearly has no intention of getting rid of this subsidy.

uff..u expect 2% ppl of India who r managing to provide best of class education to all its people along with many more other religious people without government support…Should also hire more non-Christian people...what an expectation from 2%..Isnt it sounds like brainwashed extremist who want to take on minority community to hide its own inefficiency?

EVery sunday almost every chirstian during a weekly mass donate some amount....if there is need for new school, church, hosptial, people donate with free hands...we dont cry and go to govmt..we make it happen...and we are still ony 2%!

I dont think we need to ban cow slaughter, because it will stop people from eating beef. There should be licensed slaughterhouse to do it properly.
