Spiritual figure... and that is why he had to escape to neighboring India to establish a parallel Tibetean government. Since when spiritual figures started running the head of the state offices? Indians are amazing people indeed for they cant even see the difference between Dalai Lama and the Prophet of a religion.

The Prophet of Islam ran a political movement in his quest to establish Islam. How is that different from the Dalai Lama ?

He does not run a parallel Government. He runs the Tibetan Government in exile.

@PlanetWarrior - I am pretty sure that the threat perception of His Holiness will increase by 100 fold, thanks to gentlemen like these.

The Prophet of Islam undertook very different methods when compared to HH Dalai Lama. That is the primary reason. Now let's keep this away.

Muslims of India are also more safer than muslims of Syria, Nigeria, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan etc etc.

However none of the above muslims face ghar wapsi type cr@p.

. . . .
Someone should ask Him about the women in India, how safe are they against rapes
Basically he is a drowning man who is clutching at a straw. In the present geopolitical scenario he is fast becoming irrelevant and losing his usefulness for India. This statement of his is nothing but a weak attempt to make a point to the Indian government that he is still alive.

Sometimes I wonder whether Pakistanis and Indians are citizens of two sovereign nations or really just a bunch of kindergartners endlessly boasting about being one-up against the other ! :undecided:

Even a cursory look at most social and economic indicators out there whether in the UNDP's Human Development Report of 2014 or PEW's Social Hostility involving Religion Index of 2014 would've knocked some reality into both of us through the realization that we're both desperately ravaged by social and economic ills. Our behaviors are of the likeness of two failures slugging it out at each other and endlessly arguing that one is better than the other because whereas both failed the exam one failed at 40 while the other at 45. I'm sure thats much consolation to the Pakistanis and Indians who are on the receiving end of our failures.

Wen did this Buddhist DALAI LAMA started caring about MUSLIMS so Much.
why so angry .. he is putting his POV.

He does not. But he need to make statements praising India as India is his patron. And he does it by putting down Pakistan. It's sad that he is praising India by putting down Pakistan. That is totally unnecessary as he can say good things about India without involving Pakistan.
u conveniently forgot his statement on lower caste prosecution especially of women in India which sadly is a reality.

its an issue that should be pointed out and spoken against any chance you get.
so u did not bother to read to article ! read it again sir!

And Hindus of Pakistan are safer than Muslims of Burma/Myanmar.......... :pop:
i doubt but just may be !

Can you imagine how boring life will be for the average Indian or Pakistani if the other nation didn't exist ? Somewhat like my wife. I hate her living guts and cannot tolerate her but cannot imagine my life without her :D

Because in this country His Holiness hopes to stay alive for exercising his freedom to speak.

...by the 'peaceful silent vast majority'. :(

Unfortunate. :( I hope this news does not spread in Pakistan. The remaining monasteries will be in trouble.

Get ready to see Media bashing Dalia Lama

Dalai Lama is a very very revered man in India. He is given the protocol of a head of state. He runs the Tibetan govt. in exile which is not recognized by India. In fact, the govt. of India's stand on Tibet is pro-china and opposed to Dalai Lama's stand. India has given him and his followers asylum despite having opposing political views. Yet he and his followers can stay in India for life and for generations. Anyone who is given asylum in our country can never be asked to go back. Its not our culture.
We have also given shelter to one Tasleema Nasreen who gives an opinion on every controversial topic on India and Indians to the extent it irritates many but still I will oppose any move to deport her against her wishes.
