So basically you are allowed to pick and choose whatever suits you from your religion......or choose not to follow it altogether, right? That is a personal choice, the same is applicable in every religion as one's personal choice. But as Muslims we believe that we are answerable for each and every single act of ours in the afterlife and will have to justify each and every thing. It's not like we can pick or choose what we like and ignore the rest because we will have to answer for it.
It's kind of funny that you avoid religious debates with 'my' kind and yet here we are.
Secondly, the permission to have up to 4 wives is as humane as it gets.........Most of the time people use it to support widows or divorcees, women who are unable to look after themselves and who need male support. There is a tiny fraction who use this so as to stay away from sins of immoral activities including adultery and prostitution.
And lastly, instead of considering yourself the source of all intelligence and experience, perhaps it is a much better idea to come into arguments with an open mind as there is always, always, some one who knows something more then you do, be it anything in the world.
