The school acted reasonably according to its policies, but the parents and the child have the right to seek legal redress if they feel their rights have been infringed. CAIR is meeting with the school authorities and establish any grounds for pursuing it further, if need be. Let's see what happens in that meeting.

There have to be valid grounds for any arrest, let alone that of a minor, to establish a "probable cause" leading the Police to suspect that a crime might have been committed. The ensuing investigation establishes whether a crime has indeed been committed, in which case it goes to the Prosecutor's Office, or the charges are dropped.
