So a team of doctors and medical personnel is what you call participation in war.

absolutely.

1. this "team of doctor and medical personnel" was treating wounds of western soldiers who had invaded north korea and were killing north koreans. this is same as israeli hospitals treating al-qaeda and taliban who were injured by syrian military or police or militia... so yes, the indian "team of doctors and medical personnel" was a criminal party.

2. the indian military, via this self-same "team of doctors and medical personnel", were operating in forward western military operations, as below...

"Operation Tomahawk was an airborne military operation by the 187th Regimental Combat Team (RCT) on 23 March 1951 at Munsan-ni as part of Operation Courageous in the Korean War. Operation Courageous was designed to trap large numbers of Chinese and North Korean troops between the Han and Imjin Rivers north of Seoul, opposite the South Korean I Corps. The intent of Operation Courageous was for I Corps, which was composed of the U.S. 25th and 3rd IDs and the ROK 1st Division, to advance quickly on the North Korean and Chinese troops and reach the Imjin River with all possible speed.

Operation Tomahawk was the other half of the plan. This operation was designed to drop the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team about 30 kilometers north of the then current front line. They did so, parachuting from over a hundred C-119 Flying Boxcar transport aircraft. When they landed they linked up with Task Force Growdon, which was made up of armored elements from the 24th Infantry Division (United States)'s 6th Medium Tank Battalion and infantry elements from the U.S. 3rd Infantry Division. The forces advanced to their goal, meeting weak resistance—mostly minefields—because the Chinese People's Volunteer Army (CPVA) had retreated before they got there.

One hundred twenty C-119s and C-46s dropped 3,437 paratroopers of the 187th Regimental Combat Team and 12 officers and men of the 60th Indian Parachute Field Ambulance near Munsan-ni in the second largest airborne operation of the war.[2]"

"Shedding light on India's role in the Korean war, the president said, "Korea was fortunate to have India, the source of an ancient and noble civilization"

only the western puppet government of south korea will call another western puppet ( india ) as "source of ancient and noble civilization".

India was opposed to 2003 attack on Iraq.

nonsense.

AFTER THE WAR: OTHER FORCES; India Decides Not to Send Troops to Iraq Now - New York Times

"The Bush administration had hoped that India would send a full army division of 17,000 or more soldiers to serve in the Kurdish region around Mosul, and exerted considerable pressure on Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to do so."

-- the indian government did not do so because of protests ( feeble, really ) from communist parties, and because of fears of protests by muslms.

"A retired general, Satish Nambier, argued in an essay in Outlook that sending a force to Iraq would, in ''considerations of realpolitik,'' give India a chance to be a major player on the world scene. Still, he hastened to begin the essay by underscoring his ''total opposition to the unilateral'' American operations in Iraq."

-- i have seen this dog on tv talk shows... he will be punished.

besides...

1. india allowed usa airforce bombers to refuel in madras in 1990-91 on their way to bomb iraq and kill president saddam hussain... the bomber planes were flying in from diego garcia island.

2. indian navy ships were bombing libyan cities in the 2011 nato invasion of libyan jamahiriya, and were proving hospital services to the al qaeda, taliban, jamah islamiya and ikhwaan criminals who were injured by libyan military and libyan people.

3. lot lot more of indian government and military actions against the free peoples of world.

I doubt it. Almost the entire world was opposed to Iraq then. If anything Russians were trying to get into West's good books then and were much enamored of Western capitalism.

who was president of russia in 1990 and 1991??

Well I do not know what you are speaking about since I have never spent time analyzing Indian college boy's writings.

even within pdf, most indian members are college boys or have just left colleges to do the next indian college-boy thing... jobs.... you have much material to analyze... besides, india is full of college boys... just go to any cafe and you can hear their nonsense talks and obscene behavior... i feel like rocketing those places, like how carlos ( the jackal ) used to do.

Most of them come across as dumb to me and seem to have no interest in Indian sociopolitical scene

agreement.

leave alone Hinduism and stuff.

read my reply to MokshaVimukthi here ( Muslim invasion created Dalits and tribals in India, says RSS | Page 17 ).

Have you ever seen caste discrimination in your real life ? Being a Brahmin by birth I have seen it numerous times.... Have you heard a low caste people never try enter in the kitchens of Brahmins? Have you ever come across when separate que for certain people(low caste) in any function like marriage n so on.... Sametime younger generation not buying this caste system so will eradicate rapidly..... I am firm believer any discrimination among human has no place in human world.......
Acknowledging casteism was part of our social practice does not dent "Sanatan Philosophy" before the arrival of Islam....
Where did my post reference Caste and where did I state that I didn't acknowledge it?

.
u got comprehension issues,,,i said i wish i had quota....where did i say dalits getting pg,,.or anythng about any section of society,me sirf apni baat kar raha tha.
most of our doctors r from upper caste
what about the 50% ,who get admission through quotas
u mean to say they ain't docs,,ya phir degree lene ke baad cricket khelne chale jatey hae ....dimaag pe thora jor lagao, glucose khao
btw i find meluha books to be interesting,,,n discussing thm gives me pleasure,,n its better thn discussing(or namecalling ma Behan, like ur frnd does)
.so plz spare me ur rhetoric,,n keep on defending those dumb comments by those dumb ppl

That is what I am pointing at. You victimhood mentality when there are seats outside the quota too. Only you did not qualify for it and now blaming the existence of quota system for not being able to qualify.

What about those 50% who get admission through quota? There is a reason why those 50% quotas exist. They do not come from a background such as yours with your generations of educational attainments and other privileges that your family took as part of upper castes. That is called affirmative action. They are docs because even if entry into the college is made easy for them, they still have to pass the same exams like everyone else if they have to get their licence to practice.

Ab yeh mujhe nahi maloom ke degree lene ke baad cricket khelne chale jatey hain yah nahi.

Well it has been a long time since anyone coming from that part of India spoke a sentence worth any intelligence. So I do not expect you to be any different.

Lee recalled that the United Nations had dispatched combat troops drawn from 16 nations and medical support from support groups from five countries. They fought to defend the freedom of "a country they never knew and a people they never met".

So Indians went there as part of UN troops and in noncombatant role. Since when did UN become capitalist?

only the western puppet government of south korea will call another western puppet ( india ) as "source of ancient and noble civilization".

Of course. No one else calls India ancient and Nobel civilization. Wonder why the ancient Chinese and Koreans and Japanese called India as Heaven in their respective languages and to date revere links with it.

Rubbish again. The communists had no say in how the BJP govt functioned. The Indian govt decided against unilateral actions of US again Iraq in 2003 and that is where the facts stand. If India allowed USA bombers to refuel in 1990, then it was for the good. The first Iraq war was a war of justice.

No Indian navy ships were ever involved in bombing any Libyan cities. Do not make up stuff.

I just hope the Indian govt keeps a good eye on you and knows that you are up to some terrorist activity.

Boris Yeltsin?

Well if this thread is any indication, then I say I have no similarity with any one of them. I go to cafes and while the boys are silly, I do not find anything obscene about them. They just seem like normal happy teens as they should be.

Wonder how you live with yourself with thoughts of blowing up happy places and innocent kids running through your head.

read my reply to MokshaVimukthi here ( Muslim invasion created Dalits and tribals in India, says RSS | Page 17 ).

For your info in JNU elections this year too the communists won. If in other colleges other political units are winning elections, then there could not be better news for India than that. Most colleges have dress code in accordance with our society and I see no wrong with it, considering we are building a knowledge based society and not a society of social drop outs. The Muslim burkha though is one of the bad aspects of our colleges. That should have been a strict no-no.

.

as i said,comprehension issue,,,,,,,read again,understand,think it over....repeat,,,,,,,that might help.

There is no comprehension problems here at least. Those 50% quota also consists of the upper caste who go by the name of OBCs today. They are not SCs or STs. So majority of our doctors are still from the upper strata of the society. Your victimhood mentality though shines through.

By the way I thought you were doing your PG?

nope,,,didn't get desired clinical subject,so opted out,,,will try again.
OBC(other BACKWARD classes) =/= upper class.
more over, other thn the 50% quota,,,,,there r sc,st,obc students who enter medical colleges through general quota(u do understand that general seats r for everyone).
so,ur assumption that,,most docs r from upper caste,,,,FALSE
ps-there is no victim mentality here.nor am i least bit interested about validity of quota system.(another of ur assumptions)

Brahmins were bhikshuks for the most part.
My oh my! Where did YOU learn your history? I bet from the VHP/BD sponsored curriculum, no? No wonder you are so supportive of the caste system!
Rather it does the opposite. That Indians could see holy in everyone and every caste. That holiness was not confined to the so called upper caste. It speaks of magnanimity of the Hindu society rather than the opposite. Had it been any other religion, they would have been put to death.
And yet people of lower caste were discriminated against. If there was no discrimination, then why do we have Acts to prevent atrocities against SC/ST? Why?
Marathas were not warriors, rather they were Sudhras, peasants. There is no history of any kingdoms from the Marathas before the coming of Shivaji. So no he was no Kshatriya. He crowned himself one in opposition to the prevailing caste sentiments at that time.
You should read REAL history, rather than the garbage being squirted upon you by the likes of VHP/BD bigots. Shivaji was a Kashtriya (Bhonsle). Marathas included many castes, but chief among them were the Kashtriyas too. FYI. And yes, there were many small kingdoms in that area way before Shivaji, ruled by people who make up the Maratha clans.
You seem to have taken to a skewed version of Indian/Hindu history. As much as you desperately want to believe, Hindu society was NOT as hunky dory or "nice" as you want it to be. Blaming everything, all the social ills on Islam shows bigotry.
Even today a lower caste from one part of India can go to another part of India and assume a different identity which no one will be any wiser about. Or are you claiming that every group in India knew about the caste names of all groups in India?
What a stupid and irrelevant statement!!
Constitution of India was written by people influenced by colonial rule and take on history. That is where the attempt to re-write our history comes in and a huge section of today's population are clamouring for it.
Seriously? RSS and VHP are the ones who want to rewrite history!! Stem cell research in the times of Mahabharata? Flying machines during Ramayana? What malarkey!! And dont quote me passages from those epic poems to prove your point. Its like people quoting scriptures to 'prove' that Earth is only 6000 years old!! Show me hard real forensic evidence!
The Bhakti movements started in wake of destruction of temples in large scale. The Bhakti movements were about love of God and knowledge of Vedas in an atmosphere where temples building and worship was difficult. Throughout Indian history there were only 300+ cases of Sati documented in India. Apart from West Bengal and Orissa, there was hardly any Sati anywhere else in India. There are tales after tales of widowed queens and warriors and saints. So there was no social reformers except in WB during colonial times who spoke again Sati.
Whatever social ills may have been present earlier were at least not due to caste system.
You are so fvcking ignorant!! Bhakti movement thrived when? Wow!!! Do you even know and understand what Bhakti movement was all about? Do you know where it originated?
Yeah, and people would document Sati practice in villages all over India to show how sati was not popular in India? Where do you get your information and sources form? VHP priests or Bajrang Dal activists? Your version of history is really skewed. Go get a reality check or stick to what your kind does best.....harassing girls in pubs and unmarried couples in parks, tearing up movie posters, shouting hoarse on the streets about Hinduism being the victim! What a bunch of losers!

Anyone who is not SC/ST is from the upper caste. At least they have not been from the marginalized segment of the society and their inclusion in the quota system was pure vote bank politics and nothing to do with affirmative actions.

Yes I do know general quotas are for everyone. That is what kids in my family will be applying through.

Most docs are from upper castes is TRUE.

Nope, you were playing the victim.

I just hope the Indian govt keeps a good eye on you and knows that you are up to some terrorist activity.

you would really prefer muslims to be like mujhaidind, hazzy and zarvan, yes?? you know that they are blundering idiots... and you know that muslims like me... real muslims... are capable of much.

but care to describe what hints to my "terrorist activity" do you see??

Lee recalled that the United Nations had dispatched combat troops drawn from 16 nations and medical support from support groups from five countries.

So Indians went there as part of UN troops and in noncombatant role.

nonsense... they didn't go there to hold flowers... please read my previous post.

Since when did UN become capitalist?

since 1945... it seems you haven't yet listened to muammar gaddafi's uno speech that i had linked... he describes the role of uno in global wars since 1945.

saddam hussain, in 2003, called the uno as "united nations of america"... and two uno secretary generals, ban ki moon and kofi annan, were openly licking boots of usa government and of other nato leaders... uno "observer missions" spied on saddam's military and syrian military... should i go on??

Wonder why the ancient Chinese and Koreans and Japanese called India as Heaven in their respective languages and to date revere links with it.

then kindly ask modern communist china and capitalist japan government and socialist north korea to adopt this "indian heaven"... let them have a share of glorious culture elements honor killing and caste-ism and dog-attacks and money oppressions and...

Rubbish again. The communists had no say in how the BJP govt functioned.

did i say that?? what i said was the communists protesting and fears of muslims protesting was what changed the plans of the government of india and of the indian military... in fact, right now, isn't the indian army doing exercises with usa military in uttarakhand??

The Indian govt decided against unilateral actions of US again Iraq in 2003 and that is where the facts stand.

legal nonsense, with a different reality.

If India allowed USA bombers to refuel in 1990, then it was for the good.

spoken like a true fanatic hindu... i don't want to get banned, so please google "iraq children depleted uranium"... that should have happened to you... and two million iraqis dead are "good" according to you.

The first Iraq war was a war of justice.

a fanatic hindu talking about justice... what a joke...

No Indian navy ships were ever involved in bombing any Libyan cities. Do not make up stuff.

and if i give you the sources, will that change your attitude??

Boris Yeltsin?

and what do you derive from that?? do you see the difference between his presidency and the the soviet military help to the "people's democratic republic of afghanistan" in the 1980's??

Well if this thread is any indication, then I say I have no similarity with any one of them. I go to cafes and while the boys are silly, I do not find anything obscene about them. They just seem like normal happy teens as they should be.

normal as in "gay normal" as below...??

"normal teenage boys" of ram sena attacking ladies in disco in mangalore in 2009...

Wonder how you live with yourself with thoughts of blowing up happy places and innocent kids running through your head.

remember modi followers cutting ladies' breasts in gujarat in 2002??

or this from sept 15 2014... ( Teen Couple Hacked to Death; Police Deny Honour Killing -The New Indian Express )??

happy places indeed...

If in other colleges other political units are winning elections, then there could not be better news for India than that.

explain which other political units.

Most colleges have dress code in accordance with our society and I see no wrong with it

can you tell this islamist/socialist what this "our society" means??

considering we are building a knowledge based society

Indiots

The Muslim burkha though is one of the bad aspects of our colleges. That should have been a strict no-no.

right... hindu dress forcible imposition is good but burqa is bad... great logic.

My oh my! Where did YOU learn your history? I bet from the VHP/BD sponsored curriculum, no? No wonder you are so supportive of the caste system!

I have not been to any shakha and I studied in the normal govt-aided schools with the same marxist curriculum like everyone else. The Brahmin bikshuks are who I have seen all my life. The guy who came home to write letters for my mom and received rice and other kitchen stuff in return. The Brahmin priest of the nearby temples and their destitution.

And yet people of lower caste were discriminated against. If there was no discrimination, then why do we have Acts to prevent atrocities against SC/ST? Why?

That is a political maneuvering. Everything in this country has been twisted and distorted beyond recognition. The first attacks on the landlords in Bihar region were by the maoist groups. Year after year I read reports of upper castes being shot and killed en masse, yet when Ranvir Sena took shape to protect their people from the maoists, the whole story got turned into one of caste oppression and all news of upper castes being killed were wiped out. Much of the distortion was made because of the contempt the Marxist had for the indigenous religion of the land.

Else why should there be prevention of atrocities against SC/ST act? Or are you saying promotion of atrocities against every other group is desirable and only SC/STs are holy cows?

I studied in Maharashtra. At least until 7th std it was all about Maratha history. . Shivaji's father was a jagirdhar of the Deccan Sultanate, but they were not any Kashtriyas. Shivajis coronation was opposed by Brahmins because by varna he was a Shudra. This is no VHP history, but history as studied by all Maharashtrians. No there was no Marathi kingdom before Shivaji. You seem desperate to give a pass to Islam and for that feel a desperate need to vilify Hinduism. Classic Marxist trait.

What a stupid and irrelevant statement!!

It is not a stupid irrelevant statement because it proves the heterogeneity of Indian society. There were so many distinct ethnic groups who practiced a variety of Hinduism amongst them that to blame a uniform caste system or even caste oppression as same everywhere is what is stupid. Or sign of intellectual dishonesty when confronted with Kshatriya clans from disparate groups like Tribals to consign it as a different ethnic group and out of the varna system.

Also given the free movement of people throughout the Indian landscape there is no reason why anyone could have held any group of people in fear over anything for any length of time.

What are you on about? Bringing strawmens of flying machines and stem cell research. Fact of the matter is the missionaries had poisoned the system enough about Hinduism and those who were educated in those schools were the ones who went on to draft the constitution. The brown sahibs were handed over the affairs of India for the sake of continuity and fear of disruption of a system seen as working.

14th and 17th century during the Muslim era. You are such a fvcking Marxists that other than Marxist history you cannot see anything else but Romila Thapars nonsense. So Bhakti movement originated in TN and spread north wards, but its heaviest expression was during the Muslim era. The only loser I see here is you. RSS is well in the saddle and redefining our history. Hopefully your kind won't ever have a say in the making of our country ever again. Mullah.

Yeah, and people would document Sati practice in villages all over India to show how sati was not popular in India? Where do you get your information and sources form?

Yeah all women were being burnt on their husband's pyre that is why there were rulers like Rani of Jahnsi whose sati ghost fought against the British. That is why there was Ahilya Bai Holkar whose ghost after Sati was building the Ghats. There was Jijabai Shivaji's mother whose Ghost brought up Shivaji. All those poor Satis in kingdom after kingdom whose stories we hear about because they all ruled from behind the veil of death. Fool.

u r such a sore loser:P

now conveniently affirmative action becomes vote bank politics
u r all rhetoric no substance

Why should I be a sore loser? I was not the one lamenting about how I missed being a PG because of some quota system. Affirmative action is a term for that act which is done as a restitution for socially imposed disability. Considering, the only people outside the varna system were considered untouchables for the past hundreds of years, they are the only ones deserving of affirmative action and that too not on a sustained long-term basis. Any other castes which acquired its name as fit for quota category did so because of political expediency and vote bank.

I doubt if you have ever had an original thought in your life.
