The western media keeps popping out this kinda crap in order to make the Muslim immigrants feel guilty because of living in their country.

You are right that the Western media is constantly on the lookout for the most extreme Muslim whackjob to put them on centerstage. They ignore similar activities by other minority groups.

You are also right that some of it is a reaction to the West's cultural imperialism around the world. Some people I spoke with claimed they liked to push the envelope as payback for the West encroaching on their culture back home.

However, even with all that said, I still don't agree with what these people are doing. Their focus should be to shine in their host country and make a good symbol of their community to the new nation.

You did not insult your country of residence and were respectful when that's what is called for in this case till post 52 ( not sure why a countries media means the country should be banished) -wish there were other migrants with the integrity you showed earlier

Their part was good as they saved people from getting hanged. However what they don't like doing is spreading it to the whole world from these kinds of issues.

I was talking about "backing their allies part". All medias do that.

As for worrying about the sensitivities of their minority, I have heard the usage of "Hindu Baniya" on Pakistani media channels more than once. Am guessing Hindu Pakistanis don't have any feelings?

Media is a tool to shape peoples opinion. No doubt about that, but to say that only western countries do that and ours don't is not right.
