Mujib's Search for the Fact about the Killing of Pakistan Army

@Md Akmal

sir'

Bangladesh is an independent state & its independence is fully justified, above all according to the Lahore declaration there was supposed to be "TWO" "self governing" "States" & Bangladesh should have been independent from the beginning, i am a Pakistani & i am saying this, one must respect Bangladesh's Independence, i don't like BAL but the fact is that by propagating that the independence of Bangladesh was wrong, you are only strengthening the hands of BAL ,please remember it was neither Pakistan nor rakhi bahini but it was the mukhti judhas ,freedom fighters that saved the country on 15th August 1975 , Shaheed president Zia-Ur-Rahman was a freedom fighter "bir uttom", & their sentiments must be respected.

independent Pakistan zindabad
&
independent Bangladesh zindabad

mutual respect for each others independence & right to exist should be the basis for
Pakistan & Bangladesh relations

Going for an East & West Pakistan was probably the biggest mistake of our lives !

There should have been a Bangladesh & a Pakistan from the onset.

That said - If a Bangladeshi comes barging into my face demanding an apology without reciprocating it, I'd be more than happy to hand him over to the Afghans to make a Dancing Boy out of ! :omghaha:

Unfortunate some people still can't let it go. They are scratching the old wounds, which is prohibiting the healing process.

@ My dear Pakistani friend @genmirajborgza786, by depicting the extracts from "Bloods and Tears", I was comparing the killing of Pakistani Army with that of Awami Leaquers. Here I am not saying that the independence struggle for Bangladesd was wrong rather it was inevitable. For the last 42 years we had been hearing one-sided history that too with lot of fabrication. Thanks to internet that we come to know a little bit and now we can compare actually what happened, how it happened and who all were behind it. You may conclude a different story but we had been here and we physically saw all the things and happenings.

@ The next point you had been telling about the "Lahour Resolution ", well during the Pakistan Movement many things happened and each and every moment the situation changed and all these things happened after lot of discussion among the members of Muslim Leaquers. and in those days the Muslim Leaque of Eastern Bengal played a key role in making a decisions . It is not like that Jinnah as the leader of Muslim Leaque had always imposed a decisions on the East Bengal. However, the sitution of 1948 once Jinnah imposed Urdu as a State Language was different. Had it been East Bengal granted independence in 1947 separately then the faith of East Bengal would had been like Hydrabad sooner or later. Hydrabad still had little bit of defence force but what we had ????????

@ You are talking of mutual respect, yes I fully agree but question is who is independence now ? Are we really independent ? Forget about old days of Zia and Ershad !!! " O din gai ". Now, we are under the clutches of Awami Leaque and indirectly under India. It is too difficult to come out----------

Md Akmal is on hard tequilla hangover...can you send one Pakistani immigration form to him? After having immigration there, he can stay 6 months in BD and rest 6 months in Pakistan in a year :D . I think his childhood time there in Pakistan which has very strong effect in life has made him nastalgic.

Disagreed, you were only stating the atrocities done by awamileaguers. Nowhere in your posts did you go in detail to Pakistani ones and stated the number of victims as a mere 26k while individual researches found it to be 300k-400k

He did not impose Urdu on East Pakistan ! Every Nation needs a Language to form a national identity & no other language but Urdu would have sufficed. All the rest - Bengali, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto etc. were partisan languages owing to them being exclusively associated with their respective ethno-linguistic groups. Whereas Urdu had been our Lingua Franca for many...many years.

The fact that the rest of us despite having a culture equally or more rich than that of the Bengalis accepted Urdu as our National Language, as our Lingua Franca, whilst the Bengalis didn't should have been enough for the rest of us to ask for a return of the Lahore Resolution & part ways with East Pakistan owing to your lack of good faith from the very beginning irrespective of what did or did not happen during the '71 War.

the bengalis outnumbered u and hence bengali and not Urdu should have been the national language of Pakistan...Urdu was a partisan language for the Bengalis

Why are numbers the deciding factor here ?

Only Urdu & Urdu alone made sense - Bengali was an alien language to the rest of us whereas Urdu was understood by most Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent in varying degrees.

Urdu is acceptable to only a majority of Pakistanis and Indians because of Commonality of history but when a new nation state is made the focus lies on language of the majority and in that way sir, i say it should have been bengali...however i agree that urdu and bengali is miles apart and bears no similarity at all...but "should" is the right word to use considering the law of equity

Who exactly decided that ?

Urdu was understood even in Bengal at that time...even now almost all Bangladeshis on this forum can understand & converse in Urdu more or less. And so if a Bengali is going to put forth his language to be considered for the language of us all, then I'd want my native Punjabi to be given the same consideration, a Pashtun would want his & so on & so forth for the others. Therefore no other language made sense....not even in the least bit.

Urdu was an alien language to the Bengali's who were the majority. Its a common trend all over the world to use the language of majority as national language.
