MQM holds biggest rally, beats IK's with ease

Well done mqm! An example for others to follow. Let each and every pakistani follow true spirit of islam (brotherhood). A people who cannot treat their own mothers, daughters, sisters and wives as they are supposed to they have no right to be called human beings never mind pakistanis and even less muslims. Islam allows a woman to marry a man of her liking. What kind of ghairat is that where a man be he a father or brother takes by force his daughter or sister and hands her over to a man she does not like? Is this not handing over of a woman for rape? Worse still, it is done for power or wealth or some other similar advantage so is that not pimping and prostitution? Any step by anyone against humanity is worse kind of begherati. Honour killings are blamed on islam and quran by ignorant people who never read the book to understand it.

In a proper muslim community each and every adult would be expected to know the quran, the manifesto and constitution for islam. When people know their right and responsibilities to each other as a community that is called educated society. The founders of pakistan had big vision and great expectations of those who said they would follow them and make their dream come true. Where as we after 60+ years? At the brink of self destruction. However, it is still not that late if we decide to pull back and learn some sense instead of living like animals.

Muhajir community had the right to be angry with pakistanies because since death of pakistan's founder, its jagirdaars and waderas have ruined pakistan by turning to capitalism full speed ahead and thereby mistreating in the process of making money for themselves those who already had nothing instead of building the country. If you corner the weak instead of helping them then the only thing left for them is to take up armed struggle. That is what is happening everywhere by now in paksitan because nobody paid attention to problems of poor and weak sections in the community.

The ruling elite and their funded mullahs between them ruined the whole country. It is time that people kick them where it hurts.

Mqm at least had done good for muhajir community and there is big lesson for people in this that they too could have empower their own communities eg punjabies, sarhadis, baloches and sindhies and so paksitan as whole would not be in this very bad state that it is in.

mqm must follow islam as understood by sir syed, iqbal and jinnah like sensible people and keep fighting for pakistan where they have equal rights with all those who claim to be pakistanies. Not only that but it should go beyond that and prove to those stupid pakistanies who think they own pakistan because their ancestors had been allotted land by the british. This land belongs to people who made a lot sacrifices to free it for all of us and we better educate ourselves about it if we want to see pakistan as a great nation.

Imran khan too is doing his bit but there is dire need for changing the mindset and attitude of people within the country. Better understanding of quran is key to all this.

APML's support is mostly from retired mil officers that had a good time during Musharrafs tenure or those businessmen that prodited. Mostly elite or military families.

I'm proud to say I represent neither of those groups and I support APML.

PTI's target audience are the upper middle and average middle class but the appeal across the youth transcends this.
Although the recent Difa-e-Pakistan kochi koo has left some with apprehensions about PTI's political and social ideology.

It's not only that, IK lied on his twitter that he won't send anyone to Difa-E-Pakistan and rejects them. Later he sent his representative (VP) to speak on his behalf. Does he think we're all fools?

to address his , constituents in Karachi

WAH WAH .. kiya ralley hai

No wonder every Pakistani wants to grab a Nationality of UK or USA

I want to know one things here, do I remember correctly that men of MQM, Mr Altaf Hussian, have been trying to kick migrants of other Pakistan’s states from Karachi during 2005 to 2010, if my memory is correct? He already has excellent history of his struggle for Mohajirs while fighting with Pakistan’s government, but, why he wants to talk about Baluchistan, only, with this big rally with stressing ‘Solution' of Baluchistan? does he mean to say that Baloch don't have their rights in Pakistan? :undecided:

Time for APC over, give Baloch their rights: Altaf

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder and Quaid Altaf Hussain adressed a huge rally of slogan-chanting, flag-waving women here on Sunday in what he declared was the largest such gathering of women ever witnessed in the country's history.

The unique and festive audience, gathered next to the Quaid's mazaar, was a testament to the enduring strength of the party in the city and beyond. Altaf Hussain told the historic gathering that Pakistan could not become strong unless women were empowered. He said that the historic women's public meeting was a splendid display of national unity as women from all ethnic and religious backgrounds were present in the ground in huge numbers.

He said this while making a live telephonic address from London to the Bagh-e-Jinnah adjacent to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah here on Sunday. He said that it was a clear message for everyone that we are united and we will remain united under the flag of the MQM. (about :pakistan: ?????) Altaf said a new chapter had been written in the political history of the country in the shadow of the tomb of the Quaid-i-Azam by the mammoth public meeting.

He said that other political parties had been making tall claims about holding large public meetings at the Bagh-i-Quaid-i-Azam, but the MQM, he said, had demonstrated that even the women of the party were sufficient to meet the challenge of their opponents. Altaf Hussain said that the public meeting of women was the largest not only in Pakistan and South Asia but anywhere in the world.

The occasion was also replete with symbolism: here in the shadow of the Quaid's mazaar, where supporters of Imran Khan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Pervez Musharraf and the Pakistan Defence Council had recently gathered, was an MQM women's rally that was also able to draw a huge and enthusiasic crowd.

Altaf said that it was considered inappropriate for women to take part in politics before the MQM, but the MQM brought women on the political landscape of the country. The MQM had held its first public meeting for women on July 15, 1988, which was also a record at that time. Another historic meeting of women was organised by the MQM at Nishtar Park in June 2005. He said that women had played a historic role in the struggle of the MQM. It was the women who came forward and raised the flag of the MQM during the repressive operation clean-up in 1992. They had kept open Nine Zero and waged a relentless struggle when even taking the name of the MQM was a serious crime. He said the women had held the funerals of their loved ones, suffered hardships and went to jail but did not swerve from their path. They remained steadfast without losing hope.

Altaf Hussain told the gathered women that the situation in Balochistan was explosive and said that the policies of the establishment had brought the largest province of Pakistan to the brink of separation from the country. "We will have to give the Baloch their rights as the time for all parties' conferences (APCs) on the province has gone now," the MQM chief said.

Altaf said that he had been crying out to solve the Balochistan problem for a long time, but no one paid attention to him. Now the situation has worsened to such an extent that resolutions were being passed in parliaments of other countries for the grant of the right of self-determination for the Baloch people. He warned that it was already late and bold steps would have to be taken if Balochistan was to be kept within Pakistan. Altaf said that all the legitimate rights of the people of Balochistan should be granted without further delay. He warned that if no 'solution' was found, then Balochistan might be lost.

Speaking about the protests by the relatives of missing persons in Islamabad regarding the recovery of their loved ones Altaf Hussain said that more than 15,000 MQM workers were put to death during the ruthless operation against the MQM and 28 workers of the MQM were still missing. He said that the missing workers of the MQM should also be found whose fate was still unknown despite the passage of such a long period of time. It was not even known if they were alive or dead.

Altaf said that he could understand the pain of those who have lost their loved ones. He said that his elder brother and nephew were also killed in a brutal manner. He said that it was only the MQM that had been raising its voice against gross injustices committed against the women in the country. Whether it was Shaista Almani, Dr Shazia or Dr Afia Siddiqui, the MQM always raised its voice in a forceful manner. He said that Dr Afia Siddiqui should be released on humanitarian grounds.

He said that the enemies of the MQM not only committed injustices against the party but also spread vicious propaganda against it. He said that it was said that that the MQM was the enemy of the people whereas the party, in reality, was only the enemy of the oppressive feudal system in the country. The MQM was the enemy of only those who committed injustices against the common people, particularly the women of the country.

Altaf said that the world had entered the 21st century and the women were working shoulder to shoulder with the men in other parts of the world. The situation was completely different in Pakistan where women were discriminated against in every sphere of life and forced to live a life of subjugation.

The MQM Quaid regretted that there were places in Pakistan where women did not enjoy even their basic human rights, and they were forced to live in subhuman conditions. He said that the condition of the women in the rural areas was particularly deplorable where they were treated like animals.

Altaf said that there were areas in Pakistan where women did not have the right to vote or contest elections. He said that a woman had dared to file her nomination papers in the elections three years ago, but she was killed mercilessly. He said it was highly unfortunate that evil customs like Karo-Kari, honour killing, Vani and marriage of the helpless women with the Holy Quran were not uncommon. He said that women had been buried alive in Pakistan, and it was given the name of culture. He said that incidents of Karo-Kari, gang rape, and throwing acid on the faces of the women, forcibly shaving their hair and cutting off their body parts were highly shameful acts and an ugly blot on the face of society.

Altaf Hussain said that frequently women were paraded naked in the streets which were the worst form of indignity to women.

He said that the MQM was against these evil customs, cruelties and injustices and not against anyone in the country. He said that the MQM wanted to emancipate the women and restore their dignity in society. He said that the MQM would deliver women from such cruel oppression by introducing stringent laws and ensuring their strict implementation.

Altaf said that the MQM had been agitating about the rights of the women in all the legislative bodies of the country.

Whether it was National Assembly, Senate or the provincial assembly of Sindh, the MQM raised voice for the rights of the women in a vigorous manner. He said that it was because of the efforts of the MQM that the Women"s Protection Bill was passed by the parliament. He said that the MQM had also introduced legislation in the Sindh Assembly about Karo-Kari, honour killing and domestic violence. He said that the MQM had not only raised voice but done actual work.

Altaf said that the women constituted over 52 per cent of the population. He said that they should be given an equal share in every sphere of life, which was their due right. He said that the MQM was a democratic political party, and it wanted to establish a system in the country where everyone had equal rights and equal access to opportunities.

He termed the mammoth public meeting of women at Bagh-i-Quaid-i-Azam a revolution in its own right and said that other parties merely talked about a revolution. He said that all other parties could not organize such a huge gathering, even if they joined hands.Altaf said that if the citizens had equal rights, the concept of minority will cease to exist. He said that the MQM wanted to bring the system in the country based on pure merit. The MQM wanted to bring to an end the prevailing dynastic political culture from the country that was a monstrosity of the highest order.

Altaf asked the women to equip themselves about the political philosophy and ideology of the MQM. He said that the manifesto of the MQM was based upon the last address of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) which clearly enunciated that all people were equal. He said that the age-old feudal system should be abolished from the country and educated people from the poor and middle class should also have the right to take part in politics. He said that political landscape should not be monopolized by the rich feudal lords only.

Altaf said that the MQM wanted to end gender discrimination and give equal opportunities to women. The MQM would make a society where women going out of the country for education or for a job was not looked at with an evil eye.

In the end, he appealed to men to show tolerance and dignity towards women. He particularly asked the people living in the rural areas not to condemn women for giving birth to female children.

The rally was also addressed by senior MQM leader Farooq Sattar. Later, a colourful display of fireworks was enthralled the crowd and singer Shazia Khushk entertained the women with her singing, as the audience danced joyously.

End.

sir, Mr Hussain has a point, that is, whats the meaning of creation of Pakistan if it was to reach its current state? :what: I mean, even if there might be few good reasons behind partition in 1947, there are enough reasons to say it was a big mistake :agree:.

Just listen the statement of the biggest leader of Pakistan’s Mohajir, Mr Altaf Hussain, as you posted here and at the same time Mr L K Advani, migrant of Pakistan’s Sindh and the leader of opposition party of India, had become vice Prime Minister of India and is candidate of PM for BJP this election also?:undecided:

First Mr Altaf Husain doesn’t want flag of Pakistan and at the same time Pakistani nationals call him terrorists, what I can see here. Then, doesn’t it mean that birth of Pakistan didn’t represent the Muslims of British India, but the only those Muslims who were living in today’s Pakistan, as, the Muslims who migrated to Pakistan, like Mr A Hussain, don’t want Pakistan’s flag? The man who claimed to have one of the biggest rally in Pakistan’s history? :hitwall:

What future does Pakistan hold where masses support terrorists.:disagree: and then we complain about being in such a mess.

MQM's strategy.

Break into houses, on gunpoint, take the National ID cards of all those present, and tell them where they have to arrive and where they will get their IDs back.
So they all take the MQM flags out, and go to the place they have a rally, chant pro-MQM and after the rally, go to the destined place where they can get their National IDs back. Failure to do so, they have your IDs and would come back to you. Get ready to be killed/tortured or give away some females of your family to the bastar*s.

Same way works with voting. MQM is the most corrupt and most inhumane political party (mafia party to be precise) in Pakistan. PPP is not that bad, they sell votes, not force people to. MQM has kept a strong withhold of Karachi, and if anyone dares to stand against them, turns up dead. Like many they've killed, including a family member.

MQM should be broken down and demolished by Supreme Court and declared as a terrorist organisation as soon as possible.

Agree 100% what you have mentioned!
lol @ when you mentioned giving your female members to them. They do this to protect themselve...
I would love to see the army repeating the operation, but unfortunately we are not in the state of condition.
They are a disease... and if supreme court can't fix them, then maybe they should deport them out of the country. This organization is very dominant in the U.S, Canada, U.K, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. Its suites them to be over there...

Frankly race was not on my mind.. unless you bear such ideas.
My favorite leader died in the back of an ambulance in 1947.. all those destined to succeed him were either killed or systematically weeded out and replaced with hand picked cronies.

Current leadership choices arent much..
but if given the option.. Ill vote for javed hashmi...he has been a stoic personality in my view.
