BD does not figure prominently in our day to day thinking. We are much more concerned with our neighbors whom we share a border with and ethnic ties with: Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Gulf, and China.

These are easily deduced observations. You, however are told that Pakistanis were occupiers in their own land which somehow needed liberating.

If Rohingyas are armed or Sylhetis are armed now, the same people who supposedly respects Mukti Bahani, would end up supporting their liberation efforts as well.

Operational demands need maneuvering and posturing where certain people are replaced by others. The propaganda about this was logical but not to people flared up by communal riots. Happens even now but i do not see people going full retard?

All it took was 2 greedy egomaniacs and riled up populace of East Pakistan to split the country. For better or worse, time will decide.
