What's new

Mozammel for confiscating Jamaat’s assets and asked Jammatis to go to Pakistan

Tableeghi Jamaat are in India.
Tableegi jamaat of India had a huge fight with BD's hefajot e Islam.

Tableegi Jamaat's amir Maulana Saad Kandhalvi got into conflict with BD's head of Kaomi Madrassa, Allama Shafi Hujur. Shafi's people protested against Kandhalvi when he came to Dhaka. He was supposed to lead prayer in Kakrail Mosque but Shafi's people didn't let him. Later BD govt had to arrange security for him and he was flown back to India abandoning all his programs.

Age kortam. Ekhol onek kom.

Both my parents were working. So, I used to be home alone with internet in my high school/College days. It was inevitable.

Take it from me. The Jamaatis of BD will be more comfortable among the current Muslims of India than among the Muslims of Pakistan. Two reasons being Deoband and the headquarters of Tableeghi Jamaat are in India.

Jamati and Tableeghi are two opposite entities

Mage, the velociraptors could be reproduced without cloning but you using internet in your hay days doesn't quite sit well with human intelligence!o_O
Had another shot at work place?

Thanks for the info.

By the way, BD govt should ban the Bishwa Ijtema. It is like a poison arrow stuck in BD's flesh.

Well, both are Deobandi, yes ??

It was inevitable, mister. My brother needed internet connection. So broadband connection was introduced to the house. With parents at work and brother also busy with Uni, I had too much time at home after school. Add teenage curiosity with it. And the result is hardly surprising. Learned to delete browsing history and became a regular watcher till my college days. Kinda got bored of it later and only watched occasionally since then.

It can't. Mullahs will overthrow govt if govt tried to do that. And it is not necessary either. Freedom of practising religion is an integral part of BD Constitution.

I understand.

But BD needs to find a balance. There were those murders of some progressive bloggers and the attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery. This was just like in India where Sangh-affiliated activists murdered four progressives.

Young Bangladeshis should work actively to prevent the Jamaatis from taking over their country before it becomes Talibanized.

I am very much an agnostic person. Even I would be against banning Ijtema. Ijtemas have always been very peaceful. And the preachings there is also very peaceful. That's why I have heard many Salafi/Fundamentalist Muslims dislike Ijtema. So far no connection has been found relating Ijtema to extremism.

It is the second largest peaceful gathering of Muslims. More people attend Ijtema than Hajj. 5 million people attended it in 2010. And the number has increased since then. Around 50k foreigners attend it every year.

Extremism is spread more by internet and salaries Imams. Some random guys see videos of militant Islamists preaching in the internet and get influenced. BD has done good by blocking peace TV. But battling radicalism in the internet is a tough job. That's why incidents happen. BD police and other forces have done a lot to keep them minimal. They have arrested the guys who were involved in killing bloggers. Mufti Hannan a militant involved in grenade attack has been executed. All the terrorists in Holy Artisan bakery were killed. Many more involved in planning and financing have been killed or arrested. Extremism is looked down in BD. Even the families of the terrorists refuse to take back their bodies. All the terrorists in Holy Artisan were students. Their family refused to take their bodies. Some begged for forgiveness to the nation and to the family of victims for their son's crimes. Charity organizations had to take care of their burial. Since holy artisan, there hasn't been any terrorist attack in Bangladesh. And long may it continue.

Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians have always been free to practise their religion in Bangladesh. Secularism is not anti-religion but freedom of peacefully practise any religion. Long may religious harmony continue in Bangladesh.

May Allah bless Bangladesh and keep it safe and prosperous.

Dude there was no broad band in the 60's
Um?

Yeah the Muslim neocons version.

There are a lot of misconceptions about Deobandis, but this is neither the place nor time to discuss it.

Needless to say that Imran Khan himself is a staunch Deobandi and the fact that he is bringing the most revolutionary, nationalistic government in recent Pakistani history speaks volumes.

Looks like Mukti Bahani bred like rats in this thread.

Not to mention the notable leeches from Ganges
Ted Kennedy supported Mukti Bahini in US senate. French minister of Cultural Affairs back then, Andre Malroux vowed to follow git alongside Mukti bahini.

Dutch born Australian, William S Ouderland was given Bir Protik award(military award for bravery) for his role in Bangladesh Liberation war.

Mukti Bahini is respected everywhere other than in Pakistan, for obvious reasons. Many foreign countries have paid homage to Freedom fighters. Like many countries paid homage to language martyrs. Some even built Shaheed minar honouring them like Japan, Korea, USA, UK, Australia, Oman, Italy, one is being built in Netherlands.

Your biased version is only accepted in Pakistan, Sidd. Even many Pakistanis are questioning it now.

Lol. I hate this term. It never made any sense to begin with:

Not really. We are still very much against Mukhti Bahini and Mujib. That is another subject however.

In general, you are. However some are starting to realize the truth. Musharraf expressed his regrets about the events. Nawaz after he was ousted by your SC, went on to claim that West Pakistan forced East Pakistan to separate. You can check what Imran Khan said about seperation of East Pakistan.

Both Musharraf and Nawaz do not represent normal sentiment in Pakistan, and neither does Zardari. They have radically different views than most of us.

Imran Khan is 100% correct, because mistakes were made on both sides, and this allowed India a way in.

We learned from this mistake and prevented a repeat in Afghanistan.
