Mother dies of cancer to save baby

. .
RIP to that gal!

But I seriously think she could have been a lil more practical or may be she came to know about her pregnancy at a later stage. :(
I'm glad that the baby is healthy.

I hope I can be a good mom...but no matter how much I try I wont be as good as my mamma.
I thought you were already a mom?

R.I.P. and lots of respect for her.

There Is Nothing in This World Which can fill Empty Place Of a MOTHER

i have mixed feelings about this... the lady should have been practical and saved herself... surely, children can come later... surely, children can be adopted... i don't see why the doctors didn't prevail on her.

Brother this is greatness of a motherhood else just imagine in today's time people here are ready to slit others throat for no reason.... Such decisions can only be taken by mother .... I will keep paying my tributes to her as long as I keep coming here....
Brother just check first post in this page that might help you .....

If I were to speak very frankly then I would say yes, the woman should've been more practical.

But there can be 2 reasons as to why she took her decision to stop chemotherapy:
1) May be she came to know about her pregnancy very late as in after 3 months when abortion is not recommended as it can be dangerous for the mother.
2) Or she came to know about cancer at a later stage of pregnancy.

But I'm sure doctors would've suggested her a way out though the final call would 've been hers.
Her baby needs her more than anyone else...I feel bad not just for her but also the baby. May god give enough strength to her husband to face these tough times.

@levina

there are only two times i was very sad about motherly love...

1. in 1996 in usa, a mother cat rescued her five children from a fire in the garage they lived in... ( Mother Cat Walks Through Flames FIVE Times to Rescue Kittens From Fire )... cats hold their children by the neck, so this mother cat could only carry each child one by one to outside... she made five trips into the burning garage and after she had brought out the fifth, she fainted... she was burnt and blistered, yet did not allow her children to come to harm... i was crying for minutes on reading this story... that is the cat, the most kind, loyal and brave creature in the universe... compare this cat to many human mothers who kill their children for "family honor"... but the clinic that treated this burnt mother cat and her children then did the foolish thing of giving away the six to different people... how must the mother cat have felt...

2. this is within a science-fiction series of books called dune series, one of the best set of books ever written... the soon-to-be hero is sleeping in his fort... his mother, wife of the duke, is in the room talking with their family doctor... something makes the lady turn to see her sleeping son and she has an urge to embrace her son... but she feels inhibited by the presence of the doctor... if you read the first book, "dune"... the early pages... you will see the exact wordings... i don't know why, but the way the author ( frank herbert ) wrote, it brought me to tears.

Doctors are taught to respect patients wishes, whatever they might be. Secondly, the cancer was already late stage and she wanted to experience motherhood. Everyone has different priorities. You cannot imply yours to hers.

Its hard to understand people's reasoning, my friend. But this was her's and in a way it is exemplary of Mother's instincts.

You're right, @SipahSalar . This goes back to the autonomy of the patient. :)
