I really hate these f**king media.First thing they should've asked Aamir was "What kind of threat you're facing?"

These medias like only "Hype" and not asking "Sensible Question".

Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao is a hindu.what kind of "Threat" she can possibly face??

I'm also a huge fan of Aamir Khan.But no offense,if Aamir face any kind of threat to him or his family,either he should alert authority about it or simply leave for safe refuge.Making stupid comments and gaining popularity/getting defamed on it doesn't going to help.

Same question should be asked about Shahrukh,Salman and others as well.

You see,that is why people get angry about these "So called feelers".In 1980s,Mumbai saw bloodbath due to Gang war and large part of these goons came from one religious background.Not a single actor ever uttered that they felt unsafe due to this.Does "1 mob lynching" in UP made them so vulnerable??

Forget those TOI polls...That does not represent even any of the mindset of the people....Nut here is my analysis.

1- I am really deeply upset with Amir....It is mot because he told something and he is a Muslim but my view point is different
2- Like in PDF itself, there several Indian members where I disagree with and i always have a conflict of opinion...That is a natural part of any forum, groupings or community.
India is a very diverse country...We are not even expecting a that every one will say same voice. Now, in a familly if some says with different opinion, then other familly members do not leave the familly rather they fight for thier rights in a constructive way and protest...The protest should not be in threat that i will leave the familly. Rather, being a part of the familly, we should protest.

- In a nutshell, I could have with him the way Naseerudhin Shah protested...He told something which exists in India...People discriminate...Amit could have mentioned, being a Muslim, he feels discriminated...But the moment, he mentioned to leave India, it creates different kind of analogy and it is insulting....

Now, although majority people still understand that he is a good person, and his intent is good. but people see it as a political move as India does not change in this last 1 year..As every one knows, even normal Muslim person finds diff to get a home in Mumbai...It is not something that happened recently..It was happening since begining..So why not Amir raised such voices earlier????

A sample size of 22,000 for a population of 1.25 billion with a E(P) of 0.85 gives a 95% confidence interval of about 0.845 to 0.855 with a standard error of about 0.0024.

So basically we can say that we are 95% confident that the actual response in the affirmative lies between 84.5% and 85.5% with a +/- 0.24% margin of error.

Check a standard sample size calculator if you dont believe me.

You will have to come at this from another angle other than questioning 22,000 as the sample size. There are a few ways, but you will have to understand some statistics first.

Indians are very patriotic people..they are very sensitive to any criticism that is made against them which they perceive would damage their country's reputation or damage its interests..both naseeruddin shah and shahrukh expressed their opinion saying that India has become more intolerant in recent times but they didn't receive nearly as much criticism as aamir did..aamir has crossed that thin line..he made a very big statement knowingly or unknowingly.the fact that he is a Muslim didn't help either...I am sure Indians would have found it hard to swallow if such a statement had come even from a Hindu celebrity like sachin or aishwarya rai.

Public figures should be more careful when making such statements.

Well real test would be when his movie will come out, snap deal already took the hit. It's time to boycott other brands endorsed by him and SRK. Let them make whatever statement they want to make, they have right to do that and people have right to react in the way they seem fit.

The thing about majority of Indians is even though they condemn aamirs remarks in strongest of terms they are still tolerant enough to go and watch his movies.He may be abhorred for his stupid statements but isn't considered a traitor yet.
