More Than 1000 Turks Fighting For ISIS (Bad News)

.
Is that happening due to the "marketing strategies" being used, then?

Yeah, look at it this way. The idea of quick Pan-Islamism is all on, the situation in Syria, Iraq and Libya is ripe for the product.

.
İSİS is more of threat to the Tribal 'state' of Saudi Arabia than Turkey.. :) Not gonna say anymore.

Well, now just take a look at the "marketing catch-phrase" of Jehad.
It is being commonly used and seems to be working extremely well; just in order to motivate people "to kill and/or be killed" to allegedly fulfill some religious duty or to book a place in a putative Paradise!
How else can one explain that people are willing to travel all the way to a strange unknown corner of the world as if they are travelling to Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro for the Carneval!!!
On another thread; somebody (IIRC Webby) said that the factions of TTP like LEJ etc should be motivated to join the Jehad of the PA. So; can be Jehad be "swung around" like a pendulum...... just changing the Target or the Cause as required/convenient ???
This very easy way to label/mis-label Jehad is primarily responsible for this state of affairs.
But is working very well as a "marketing strategy" for all the wrong things.
Alas!! If only it was used for Tourist packages to the Rio Carneval instead!!!

That is the ambiguity of the statement. Again, This has less to do with the word mentioned in the Quran and a lot more to do with what is mentioned in the Supplementary literature.

Yes. That is where this ambiguity is lending itself to so much gross misuse, with so many ramifications..... to the extent of even affecting those who do not subscribe to such misuse or misinterpretation.
Cannot those who are more knowledgeable and informed on these matters come out clearly and conclusively to eliminate any grounds for ambiguity?

Provided they are recognized for it. Again, it comes down to a simple case of this not being as exact as science. One cannot prove via mathematics or experimental design that one's theory is more sound than the other. Sure, there are always those that will remain unconvinced that man went on the moon. But by far and large the scientific and visual evidence to support it exists. In the case of interpretation of religious text and events there is nothing more than one's opinion formed by study that is to be projected/defended.
To top it off, my religion has the core idea of submit in its ethos. Which is these days interpreted so literally that instead of submitted to God via understanding him, submission is to the clergy by taking them as the word of god.
One could argue than that such a system does not seem fit for the masses, but then essentially such masses were led into this belief much as they were in Christianity that the clergy is supreme.

40-year-old Yakup Bulent Alniak leaves behind his wife and two children.
World Bulletin / News Desk

A Turkish aid worker who survived the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010 has been killed in a US-led air strike targeting ISIL positions in the Syrian city of Idlib, Turkish media has revealed.

40-year-old Yakup Bulent Alniak was in Syria to carry out aid work ahead of the Islamic Eid al-Adha feast, organizing the distribution of meat of Syria's needy.

Alniak, who in 2010 escaped unharmed when Israeli commandos raided IHH Humanitarian Relief's Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara aid flotilla, in which ten Turkish citizens were killed after being hit by live ammunition, had been in Syria for two months.

He leaves behind his wife and two children.

Dont let them back, revoke the citizenships of those who are fighting.
even on this forum there are Turks praising ISIS and they say they prefer to see ISIS win over the Kurdish towns rather than Kurds becoming heroes. such mentality is sad since ISIS is no friend of anyone

I think the Mods ban them.

Truly dangerous situation. If they cant control properly now next thing you can see is the large scale unrest in entire europe.
this is Pakistan of 2014 for you. we are warning them but Turks are on high gas saying they are too strong and too rich to face the same consequences like us.

although they are doing exactly the same what we did back in 80s together with same erm (partners).

The propagonda machine of ISIS is just mind boggling.Western Agencies dont have any idea how much of their citizens went to the Syria. And Turkey is a gateway to Europe once the IS found their base in Turkey .Like you said we can regular unrest in Turkey in coming years and their spillage in to other EU nations.
I dont think US can keep up this fight for longer.

i might be wrong, but difference is Pakistan was actively aiding militants back then, Turkey isnt supporting isis. as for isis themselves, they are not really any different than pkk/pyd terror. if you were a Turk you would wish for pkk and isis to prolong their battle. for me it is just beautiful to see 2 terror scums going at each other. the world wants Turkey to fight isis, but that would only strengthen pkk/pyd while weakening us, so am glad that the govt at least did the right thing and stays away from fighting isis.

I am not interested in their names, if we start listing them then it will take a while.
I support turkey in its fight against PKK and the issue of Cyprus dont get me wrong.

but do note

ISIS is born out of Al Nusra and FSA... both introduced the methods on civilians that ISIS has only perfected and taken to the next level.
you and I both know what I am saying is right and I am not after the justification.

I said what I said with resignation there was no point scoring. your being smart should have learnt from our folly. it was unthinkable for us to even consider that we will end in this pit. we were economically strong, united with strong military. after the assassination of Gen Zia every thing went downhill,

the bastard TTP has used Turkey to originally join FSA and Al Nusra camps run in Turkey and now they are joining ISIS

this my dear is very disturbing. I know once again Saudis will escape from this new experiment but the consequences will bite the turks hard
