HAl Tejas 1 is more or less equally the same as Jf17 block 2. And, HAL Tejas Mk1a and Jf17 block3 will more or less will be the having same capibilites.

NO, IAF is looking more capable fighter compare to HA Tejas (block 1 - Mk1a) as similar to Jf 17 ( bock 1-3) because we are having bigger thread then PAF.

Even if JF 17 was developing by India then even IAF was not ready to accept Jf 17 block 1 and block 2.

Alteast, we will not goona to stick with OEM products, We are started but PAK has to start from scratch otherwise they will be the doing paint job even after many years.

The JF 17 is a light weight aircraft also its engines are not exposed thanks to DSI intakes and it's RCS is same as a heavy weight su30 class fighter? That's not authentic

F16 b70 is twice as good in every metric

Even the mk2 which will be medium fighter is way behind the mk1.

If i was the IAF chief i would have inducted 250 block70 f16s with indian line (or gripen ng). Pretty sure IAF would have acheived even advancr a2a missles and some source codes like turkey isreal to induct its own weapons in it.

My guess 250 f16s would have cost around 14-16b dollars and good have potentially replaced the mig29, mirages, and everything else in IAF ...

LCA should be shelved ..its too small for IAF needs..

IAF needs something like the j10/f16 range medium aircraft

Once the indians decide what they want then the market will open up. Since the Indian are holding the world hostage on this large order. Once its executed no one will ever trust the indians again
