so you were expecting Modi to keep Finanace ministry, infrastructure ministry to himself ???

No. Modi's key competency is his execution and follow up. Jaitley is competent enough to be FM.

What I did want is for Modi to be involved personally in one of the infrastructure ministries - preferably Rail Ministry which has been treated as a bastard child and abused by politicos for decades to make it anemic, under performing, loss making enterprise that it is right now .

Infact if we can modernize and make our rail network more responsive to industrial needs, we can add 1% GDP growth rate right there itself.

And if we can change it altogether, make it an efficient, higher speed(150 kmph) network which modern amenities and with a separate freight network, we can add more to the national GDP growth rate.

All this by 1 ministry called Rail.
