wow this is huge, what remains to be seen is whether the Pak army is ok with this, or maybe they gave the go ahead to Nawaz Sharif to begin with.

If Modi visits Pakistan :-

1. Ensure that he meets Hafiz Saeed
2. Ensure that he meets all those Kashmiri militants/terrorists holed up in Pakistan
3. Get him to answer to the Pak military and intelligence on claims that India is responsible for the internal strife in Pakistan
4. Ensure that he addresses the families of every Pakistani soldier killed on the LoC since he was elected

Then send him back to address the Indian people on his election promise that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan until they are prepared to behave as a responsible nation

If take a survey in Pakistan , I assure you that 98% of Pakistan's wants to see him dead and hates him like hell. So he is not going to visit Pakistan I think. It was just a consolation that he accepts the offer.

While I don't think being allied or friendly is really possible within our lifetimes, it is feasible for India and Pakistan to become neutral states with superficial dealings and trade between them. That would suffice I guess till humanity itself changes and petty meaningless things like religion, race etc become obsolete.

For me the decision to send back the fishermen with in 15 days is the key achievement of this talks..... Probably this would have been the easiest to pull for both the nations.....

NSA meeting is also significant..... But then i do not expect any significant outcome from it just because of the mistrust both share, and NSA's are in middle of all such briefings.....

In many countries the government holds public hostage but it seems in India the hardline Hindu public is holding Modi hostage refraining him from making any step towards a civilized solution to problems between the two countries.
