P3I updated AMRAAMS are not restricted snap-up or snap-down. Snap-up has a better range & hit prognosis as airomerix hinted. We deployed snap-up BVRs against Su-mki.

Both the targets shot on 27th were a result of AMRAAM's lofting to a certain degree.
The most important comment from the last few pages.
Atleast he concedes that AMRAAM depicts behavior of snapping up. (After he hurled abuses which are conveniently ignored by Mods and yourself)
The question of snapping down doesn't exist with AMRAAM and neither was Feb 27 an event where the missile was launched at close range.
I asked someone about AMRAAM being launched at a close range and he said to me; "The pilot who launches AMRAAM at a range of lesser than 15 nm doesn't deserve the cockpit".
And mind you this guy is a seasoned viper pilot currently stationed at Sargodha.
