Khalid Amir Rana one of the two pilots who rescued the Slovenian climber Tomaž Humar under critical circumstances from Nanga Parbat at a height of 22,300 ft (6,800 m). For this heroes rescue the crew was awarded with the ‘Golden Order for Services.’ This is the highest Slovenian award ever conferred upon any foreign national.

Seen this heli so many times in PAF museum (Karachi) and unable to understand how this thing can even fly……….two sets of parallel blades and at same height…...?????

Yeah agreed with you guys Pakistan must try with china for partnership for state of the art hellicopter.

if you get it from China it won't be state of the art. they are good at copying mainly. Which means what they build has been out for awhile.

What we already have are out for a long while.
In any case China is the best choice for Pakistan and development partnership even better.
Pakistan desperately needed both transport and attck helicopters in recent gorilla war with hightech TTP army but unfortunately---- we all know the story. point is trust/reliability of supply source is of equal importance as the technology it self and i doubt that Pakistan can ever be offered the latest western helis.
Which may help reduce the casualties of Pak army but who wish this?

We need more heavy transport choppers from the US and also supercobra's to fight the wot .. US should provide us with these requests since we are doing there dirty work and loosing lives each & everyday !
