Middle east countries boycotting Indian consumer goods for Insulting the Prophet of Islam

But what I found living in west is pakistani and turkish people consume a lot of alcohol. They speak about religion but at tge same time consume a lot of alcohol in their social gatherings. It is not common in Bangladeshi community as its not only for religious reason but also socially drinking is look down upon. Even secular Bangladeshis would not flaunt their drinking.
Young people in Bangladesh are becoming practicing Muslims. So, they avoid drinking. It is more so when our women are participating. Our women just hate their husbands drinking alcohol. They will scold them in a gathering where drinks are served.

So, even though a husband drinks occasionally, he would avoid it at a social gathering because his wife would lose face with other housewives.

You conveniently forgot to say how many billions of dollars worth of goods India exports to BD a non-Arab Muslim country. This will exceed the total that you export to other Muslim countries.

@Bilal9 can give you proper data for the Indian exports to BD.
You conveniently forgot that you have Shekh Hasina as your PM. We are brother countries.

Indians benefit to the tune of $40 Billion per year approximately (unofficial estimates by Indian organizations), including remittances by Indian employees via Hundi plus medical tourism by Bangladeshis to India.

Bangladesh is considered within third or fourth largest trade partner of India. Of course Sanghis will deny this as most of it is unofficial.

Officially Indian goods exports to Bangladesh is $14 Billion in 2021. But this does not count infra projects and other sale of services and certainly not Hundi based unofficial remittances and tourism proceeds from Bangladeshis visiting India, who were 54% of all tourists in India in 2017 (this was growing at 40% rate yearly for Bangladesh at that time).

Bangladesh exports to India were less than $2 Billion which is a recent phenomenon last year. Indians have consistently denied access to Bangladesh exports over the last 50 years over one reason or another and Bangladesh has always run a gargantuan trade deficit with India historically, to our detriment. Unproven dumping allegations were the most common ones whereby Indian customs imposed unilateral Non-Tariff-Barrier (NTB) duties on Bangladesh exports. Who needs enemies if you have "friends" like these.

However, when India exports $14 billion worth of goods, a BD export figure to India between $1 billion to $2 billion makes @UKBengali happy and complacent.

To him, it is a good achievement. I don't know how so. India has so many unwritten laws at the border to stop our merchandise from entering their Holy Cowland.

I find your comparison of India’s trade with Bangladesh quite funny lol. Again shows UKBengali is 10 times smarter than you are.

In business you buy cheap and sell high.

Put simply for you…

India is a cheap supplier for Bangladesh but western nations are its lucrative customers.

Your suppliers are never your biggest customers.

Simple business 101!!!

Benefit of a British education as opposed to your chetona Dhakaya education hahaha

@UKBengali

You display Madrasa level logic!!!

From now on think of Bangladesh like a giant garments company. And India and China as sewing needle factories. Sewing needle factory does not wear underwear.

It would be as stupid as Durex shunning IBM computers because IBM doesn’t like condoms!!

He does have a bit of a point.

India was unfairly creating barriers to BD exports for many years that even BD Ministers started openly talking against India on this point over the last 1 -2 years.

However, the fact remains that at this current time, India should have a massive trade surplus with BD since it supplies so much raw materials, food and even energy through electricity export. BD just cannot produce the medium to high tech goods that India would have imported from it if the price/quality was right.

With the proposed FTA, then BD can really supply unlimited amounts of garments and also home electronics into the massive Indian market. Garments is an area where BD is more efficient and with home electronics it will just be competing with foreign assemblers like Samsung. Walton et al have no problem taking them on in BD itself with slightly lower wages and so they will have no problem in India itself.

Still, we must be realistic that even if BD gets to 10 billion of US dollars of exports with India by 2030, it will probably import something like 15-20 billion dollars from India as it will still need to import raw materials, food, even more energy both from India and through it from Nepal/Bhutan, and more industrial goods/machinery as Indian technology slowly rises up the ladder.

Like I say these guys are still living in 2012 and have not adjusted to the realities of 2022 where BD has far more power against India now than it had then.

Bhai let's lay off the personal attacks. It creates unneeded chaos and confusion...

And let's not go into who is ten times smarter than someone else. Such things are subjective and also starts offensive arguments.

Just a humble suggestion.

I am just giving that person a taste of his own medicine.

Answer to overcoming Indian trade barriers is an FTA.

I am not afraid of an FTA with India.

Raw materials count as half their trade.

And then cheap mechanical parts are mostly the other half. Which Bangladesh will source from China once it is more prosperous.

Japan, China, Korea and Germany supply the serious stuff to Bangladesh.

India exports a humongous amount of refined oil to the developing world. It creates very few jobs and value add is negligible. Also pollutes their country.

That’s all you need to know about India’s exports!

That's quiet normal, even in Tunisia people that drink alcohol will never eat pork.

If you do one sin, doesn't mean that you have to do them all 😁
Totally agreed with you, we should not at all. Wanted to ask is drinking very common in pakistan? How does pakistani society look at it?

I am a practicing Muslim. I never drink alcohol.

I have yet to see a Pakistani Muslim drink alcohol.
How does the pakistani society look at people who drink?

They are welcome to boycott whatever they want but i am still trying to undersrand what was insulting in talking about Prophets marriage and his travel to 7 heavens. It is right out of Sahi Hadees. Are all the countries and people protesting saying that Sahi Hadees has some facts which are wrong and insulting to Prophet Mohammad?
Stating truth and mocking is different. If you state me your religion I will give you an example.

.
She was responding to a Maulana who was insulting her religion and her beliefs. She just quoted basic Islamic facts known to even a child. Life of Prophet is sunnat to all practicing momins why did you guys took the specfics of that sunnat as insult. Tell me which one of the statements she made was offending?
Maybe you are a hindu: lets give you an example do not take it to heart, just to show an example,

Your lord krishna had thousands of wifes still that pervert as he watched naked women bathing, What kind of pervert does that? Plus He had extramarital affair with radha and never married her.

Or lets call your lord ram impotent. Never had kids.
He did not have sex with seetah in his 14 year exile.

Then why marry a 6 year old, why not adopt her as a daughter if was never going to have sex with her? Was he a sick phycopath?

All that i stated are truths, but I was mocking your gods if it made sense, just showing you an example, hope that ansewers your question.
