Guys, i strongly believe that there are some smart people running the affairs of our defense procurement. Russian Engine manufacturer "Klimov" has become a very important player and partner of Pakistan.

* Entire JF-17 program is based on RD-93 supplied by Klimov.
* Pakistan existing MI-17 transport fleet uses "Klimov" engine.
* Now, if this deal go through as purposed, these engines will also be from "Klimov".

As already reported, PAC Kamra has already got the capability of overhauling RD-93 engines. So i think, things are moving in right direction, as we may see more engine procurement for JF-17 BLK-3 or J-31 (if its inducted).

Also, Klimov's engine also powers the twin engine J-31. If PAF goes with 40 aircraft, that's future contract of 80 engines. Plus the existing JF-17 contract. RD93 was specifically redesigned from RD33 for JF-17. And that's why they willing to work on an uprated RD93MA. Perhaps, Chinese-Russians-Pakistan can cooperate on a powerful Chinese engine, WS13 to replace in JF-17s and future J-31s? It will be win win for all.

Because the potential market is too big, and in it's current form (Without China and Pakistan) there isn't really a huge demand for RD33/RD93.

They'll do business even if it was 10 more engines. No one is asking them to part with their tachnology, a JV could be beneficial.

Well a single Mi-35 can carry a max of 3-4 stretchers. That too means no doctor or attendant. So 2 stretcher and a medical officer at max with equipment.
Also then external stores will have to be reduced and overall weapons config changes to a disadvantage. Can take more time to sanitize. This is not a flying hospital.
The Mi-26 is the flying hospital.

PA don't need a flying hospital what they want is a helicopter which can take some injured back after strafing, while transport helicopters are on their way and at least two Mi-35 will be good with gun & rockets in providing support to an ambushed convoy also Mi-35s will be good to drop SSG teams and provide support fire for Spec Ops.
