That is a view you are entitled to hold, a simplistic reading of Hinduism in my opinion. There are plenty of scriptures in Hinduism which chose to trudge a different path (Mandukya Upanishad & Gaudapada's commentary on it are good examples). Doesn't make them less Hindu though. Shows that there have always been different ideas on what Hinduism's essence is.

I got into the argument with a comment on who emboldens the Muslims to carry out such acts in Hindu majority India. The logical answer being the Secular Hindu who puts a veil over every crime by a Muslim. Nah, nothing to do with Buddhism. The Buddhists of today are very very rational people. Just look at the arguments of the Dalai Lama. Also the enormous number of temples they build.

The real buddhists are good. They have traditions and a spiritual discipline going back hundreds of years if not all the way back to Buddha himself. For example the Dalai Lama can trace his spiritual lineage all the way back to the first Dalai Lama and even beyong that. But the problem is modern new age spiritualist masters who have not reached a state of enlightenment but are creating something new and presenting it as the essence of the religion.

Most of the International gurus rely on donations from west and they have tried to make Hindu Theology as close to the Christian theology as possible. In reality Dharmic and Abrahamic theologies are completely incompatible.

The place where this crime happened is neither a mosque nor a madrassah. Raze it to the ground and any other places that have any such crimes happen within its walls.
