Mars mission by 2013-2015, says ISRO

gud one..... best reply to such an ignorant post trying to belittle the accomplishments of ISRO and India at large !!

You guys really need to look at the outrageous statements made by your politicians. What they say make you guys look like bigger fools than any of the "ignorant posts" on :pdf:.

That was just a reminder not to make ridiculous claims, as it will make you look like fools. If someone says something that is untrue to defame you (or even if it is true), then you may retaliate. Otherwise, it's better to be silent and expend that effort to better yourselves.

I like India and Indians in general. I would like a fair land settlement and mutual respect & cooperation. This is all feasible.

To all those who think India Had just directly got involved without any experiance into space programs, This video takes you a step ahead of your thoughts, this video tells you the history of How India Found its way to space

I think i have replied to your post partially ... mars mission for you may sound ridiculous but there has been this debate for close to a decade... only time and experience will make things reality, back then when we never sent anything beyond Earth orbits we needed sth bigger like Chandrayaan 1 to develop, now with chandrayaan 2 we will be a step closer if its successful or even if its not....

We hear soo many declarations by our politicians.. do u really think u r the smartest than any or every indian here on defence.pk to be able to decipher what sounds more than a possibility and what doesn't !!!

i think by joining in the international space programme india can do research and experiments in the space which can be much more beneficial in future for them. sending a unmanned mission to mars has some research benefits but limited. so i think india should opt for space station programme. off course, money is important but it is included in both the cases and may be equal in amount (initial costs).

anyhow, i think IRSO has done a great job by sending that unmanned lunar mission and their aims are also high, i hope they can achieve this goal in time.

I am neither an expert nor i think most of us r experts here to know whats the missions goal is... but from just a guy observing things.. international cooperation means sth when we have sth to share !! And i truly believe that different agencies need to cooperate but who ants to cooperate with some agency which has nothing great to share. u want to be a level player at least to an extent to gain out of this international forum of agencies..

Do u really buy if ISRO says we will partner with NASA on space explorations beyond Earth and may be beyond solar system before we had Chandrayaan or the similar missions in future..:what::what:

my dear friend, in my opinion, it is better to observe things instead of going into meaningless talk, so i just observe and reply where needed.;)

i think india has (IRSO) has done a great job by sending the unmanned lunar mission and that is because that is a milestone india has achieved which was not easy. i think this do not only true for indias case but for all the countries (developing and developed both) . if they deserve credit why to criticisize why not give them credit for their achievements.

about sharing technology, my opinion is that now days in order to save time, countries do joint projects (F-35, PAKFA etc), this will help in reducing the cost, also save time and the end product after the project comes out to be much better due to collaboration between scientists/technologies of different countries. so i think there is no harm in collaborating. your opinion can be different than mine and i am not trying to force my opinion on you since neither you nor i are expert in this field.

about IRSO accepting collaboration with NASA before sending more missions like the first one is i think acceptable in this era. it is just like developing PAKFA with collaboration with russia even before having Tejas flying (indian made fighter) in the air (please do not take it personally, it is just an example and donot meant to hurt anyone). i mean, if you can get the job done by collaborating and can achieve a much better goal with less or equal spending of money/efforts, why not do it and especially when everyone knows that you have reached a certain level of competencey and proficency (like reaching the space)

another point is sending more unmanned missions in space or to moon is merely repetition or another milestone if manned mission to moon. i mean, i do not see any benefit in spending this huge amount on just another mission in space or to mars. why not send another mission with a man (may be with collaboration) to establish a space station where you can do experiments and research which is far better worth for spending that huge sum, isnt it?

when you have hateful comments throw nat you regularly - that means you are well on your path of development.

thankyou to all those pakistani and chinese memebrs .

I agree india need to get involved in a space station programme . but lets see how it goes - we might end up into some other space staion programme with russia j.v

yes, i agree with you that india after achieving the technology now should collaborate (with US, USSR) and get into space station programme becasue it is more benificial and cost effective.

i am not a expert in this field, can you or any other member please tell me whether russia has some space station programme of their own or not? i know US has and may be russia also had collaborated in the same programme with US, isnt it?

you are absolutly right there : russia and us are both involved in in International space station programme.

The ISS is a joint project among the space agencies of the United States (National Aeronautics and Space Administration—NASA), Russia (Russian Federal Space Agency—RKA), Japan (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency—JAXA), Canada (Canadian Space Agency—CSA) and ten European nations (European Space Agency—ESA).[12][a] The Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) participates through a separate contract with NASA.[13] The Italian Space Agency (ASI) similarly has separate contracts for various activities not done within the framework of ESA's ISS projects (where Italy also fully participates).[14] China has reportedly expressed interest in the project, especially if it would be able to work with the RKA, although as of 2009[update] it is not involved due to objections from the United States.[15][16]
--------------------

there is proposed plan of a space station - raised by russians about making of a space station

n April 2008, Perminov also reiterated the previously voiced Russian goal to replace the ISS with an all-Russian station in the Earth orbit. This time, he described its purpose as an assembly platform for deep-space transport ships heading to the Moon and Mars. He claimed that the Security Council had approved the plan in general, however without setting a timeframe. In January 2009, Aleksei Krasnov, the head of manned space flight directorate at the Russian space agency echoed his boss, saying that the future Russian space station in the low-Earth orbit would serve as a foundation for lunar program and, later, for expeditions to Mars.

The agency aimed for 2020, as the launch date of the new Russian outpost, to coincide with the expected deorbiting of the International Space Station.

i think we better stop fighting on who will do what and what not in future. i mean guys, relax if IRSO wont be able to achieve their target the results will come in 2013-14 and similarly if china wont be able to achieve their targets it will also come in results. why to fight. both the countries have achieved different milestones at different times for their own good and we should be crediting their achievements, shouldnt we?

but the most important thing, in my opinion guys is that even if they fail, afer starting their space station programmes or unmanned mission to mars programmes, they will achieve many things in terms of technology. the same technology will advance from failure to raw to and able to use.

please do not think that i am saying they (India, US) wont be able to achieve their goals at the right time, that was just a condition that i put in to explain my point.

i think this is the most important thing that they have started their programmes and also achieved their goals and set goals for their future.

Congratulations, but I'm still waiting for my $10 laptop that was announced to the entire world with much fanfare. :)

This post should have been ignored by everyone and reported, instead of posting two pages worth of comments more to encourage the poster and further hijack the discussion.

Same applies to DRDO. It has tons of projects and people only try to critize him. They forget, we now know how to correct the mistake.

Fact is NASA won't help nor will the European union or anyone else other than give a limited assistance..space secrets are closely guarded cos it takes a hell lot of money and time to develop them. As I mentioned before one of the reasons India is hesitant to join the ISS is that they suspect they wont get anything from it wrt to tech.Every country has to learn herself.

.
Silent u know - the thing is people fight about- Does India or anybody else need to explore mars ??????

that sound such a cliche to me - see when we make weapons of destruction - its alright - when we all know its almost uncertainty to have a full scale war in future.

and even if we will have a full scale war - the diffrence of these deadly or deadlier weapon wont matter much as both sides will be finished.

I think space reaserch is most beneficial programme - from where humanity will learn alot and gain alot too . its the most important issue.

i think the development of man kind is more important than - destruction of man kind.

my friend i didnt mean only IRSO, any department of any country (not only india or pakistan or china or US) if they achieve a milestone for their country they deserve credit for it and we should give this well deserved credit to them, instead of starting a fight about their future plans.

yes, you are right, all of us we are humans and make mistakes and learn from them in our lives. same thing apply to the research and technology as well, we learn from our mistakes and correct them, ultimately ending up with a very refined human friendly technology. this is how it goes on and no one can deny it. i know no one wants to fail one can not help it

in my opinion the most important thing is starting a project because if it is there only then you can end up with some product. failure or success is secondary because it will lead you to your primary objective by refining your project and correcting the faults.

Guys I know Only One thing... Asia is rising. Even if its India or China or Pakistan, Every single bit achieved in these kind of advanced technologies means We are gaining those complex technologies and rising again. Some Chinese, Pakistani and Indian friends are posting against each other here... But just remember one thing, Space research is neither destructive nor showing each other that " We can do this or that". ISS is best Example. Who knows may be after 10 years India and China join hands for any collaborated mission?? The Governments and Experts are much more wise than us... What we do is, we just discuss or fight here on their decisions.. means WE are not decision makers.. So going for constructive discussion not only will increase our knowledge but will keep this forum much comfortable. The discussion here will not effect any of those decisions but only our minds and thinking.. So i request all of you to go for positive postings rather just showing flaws of each other. And please DON'T Forget " WE, INDIA CHINA PAKISTAN, ALL ARE "DEVELOPING" NATIONS YET"
