Watching on NatGeo is different from going face to face with a lion. I am quite sure if anyone comes in this situation first thing he would do is to $hit the pants.

This guy even chased away two tigers went into its cave and apparently sat there on a rock in tiger enclosure doing meditation and tapasya

That's right. But here bloody di#k heads started throwing stones at Tiger which must have pissed that animal. A very sad incident and utter carelessness from Zoo management.

Actually cowering down sends a signal of submission and fear to predators, most predators will hesitate to attack a person taller than them.Showing ones back,running ,covering, crying are all percieved by predators as easy prey. I am sure if the guy stood up the tiger wouldnt have dared to attack him, like this guy in the video.

Depending upon the age and size of a fully grown tiger, a tranquilizer takes at least 15 minutes to bring effect. The poor man, sadly did not have that much of time. I am no expert but distracting the tiger with loud noises (not by yelling or pelting stones at it) like beating drums or fire crackers might have given a few minutes extra enough to put the predator into sleep.

Besides when sedated wild animals are even more violent and erratic, Even if tranquilizer was used there was no guarantee the tiger wouldnt have attacked him.

It is staff's responsibility. Idiotic people will always go to the zoo and do idiotic things like pelt the animals. The staff needs to stop them.

ya u mean to say.. if ttp is bombing in Pakistan then ur security staff's need to be sued for not able to stop them...

and no.. not every idiot is like him or there have been many more cases like that... no body jumps in to a tiger compound... that majestic animal need to be admired not pelt ... and too with respect and distance...

regardless it needs to be put down…. it killed a human being… **** endangered species. i don't care how endangered it is… if it took a human life just put it down.

Are you mad. There were lots of mistakes made by human in that cage. Im an animal lover to extreme But even in that extreme-ness I know my limits. It were those humans standing behind the walls who were the cause of this poor souls death.

Terrible analogy. Such a common trend in PDF.
Security forces aren't directly involved in terrorist bombings, don't know whether a bomb is going to go off or not, don't know where it will happen etc. On the other hand, staff are directly at the scene, and have full control to stop the man. He doesn't have a gun or a lethal weapon, can easily be stopped by the staff. They can definitely be sued because they had full power to stop him, knowing his intentions (going into the tiger pit).
