Given a neutral ground, the Maoists will decimate the Taliban. They have far reaching organizational tactics and are more resembling to a conventional fighting force unlike the Taliban.

Say what you will but the Taliban is an artificial entity floated by Western interests. The Pakistani Army will stick a pike up their a$$es if the funding and recon by the West were to be nullified.

And the the point I answered was your dismissal of the bravery of that Gorkha soldier in whooping the Taliban rear and saying he worked for somebody else. According to most of you Paks, your army is also doing the exact same thing..fighting the american war on terror.

The main advantage of the Taliban is not their arnamament, their bravery, their organization..but their terrain and Durand Line. 80% of Taliban sucess is due to the terrain and only the remaining 20% due to everything else.

last few hundred years rught from kicking butt og ottomans to eradicating mughal misrule, to planting their boots in muslim holy land of arabia to palestiine its christian all the way. muslims may have had a few initial success, but over the long term you have to see

Talibans will CRUSH groups like Maoists or say Sri Lankan Tamils , or Thai insurgent etc...

There is no match of Global Islamic Jihad-Assymetric Warfare Mode.

Where ever these guys are fighting (Russia, Philippines, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Israel-Palestine Area, Yemen, Nigeria, etc), they are leaving their mark!

So no, Maoists are just tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo 'innocent and young' infront of a monster like Talibans and other fanatical Islamic Jihad Organizations.
