Like @ks said it depends on terrain- Moasits are a lethal foe in the Jungles.
Having said that the Taliban are a hardcore bunch of guys who will strap explosives to themselves and walk into a market or will execute or behead security forces or anyone they don't like at the blink on an eye.
The way the Moaists are getting their backsides handed to them by Police forces but the Taliban are successfully resisting ARMIES and air power says it all really.
