Major Changes Ahead on JF-17 Block-3

This is not the path PAF would be taking for the JF-17'a but it might consider this incase the threat is increased. However it might be developed if PAF is able to sell the aircraft to other countries. Some thing like what USA \ France and Israel is doing however at preset PAF does not know what exactly is the life of JF-17's or can it be upgraded for along time. The best guess is the life can only be extended till 2050 but that too for countries that are secure and are not under a threat of war.

Pakistan has MoU with China for stealthy JFT so PAF can take that path in future with ease if they are interested.

I think following type of upgrade path should be taken for JF-17, if possible instead of one centreline EWP two under wing EWP should be considered. @gambit opinion requested.

We don't know what is next after blk-3, if we design a stealth aircraft it is not based on JFT, its a totaly new aicraft, becuase you need to change nose to tail of JFT, it is a bogus news

Pakistan would not go after more than 500 fighter aircraft. This is in two fighter types F-16's and JF-17's. There are many other MOU's that have been signed but how many things have been procured... If they do go after a Stealth aircraft then it is going to be a new design. If you have to know about the JF17 design then it is better you study the threads concerning JF-17 and correlate it to the Threads regarding Stealth Aircraft...

2) At least 27,000+ lb thrust engine.
3) Built-in IRST
4) HMD
5) J-10C avionics
6) More composite material to further reduce the weight.

No no no sir what is you talking about? You are one of the most respected member in the PDF, there is no stealthy version and doesn't any links to JF-17 and basically totally different aircraft, Sir I have few questions for so called your stealthy version of JF-17.
1)Is there will be weapon bay's in your stealthy version of JF-17?
2)Is there will be diamond wings in your stealthy version of JF-17?, ( currently JF-17 has a cropped delta wings)
3)Does it will has a RAM or carbon reinforce plastic structure?
4)Does it will has a V tails?
If those properties in your so called stealthy version of JF-17, its basically totally different and new aircraft, doesn't any links to JF-17, it will be structurally mechanically different aircraft from JF-17

Stealthy Version of JF-17 - The design of JF-17 will remain the same but changes will be made Just like later blocks of F-16 s, which are more stealthy as compared to the earlier blocks.

3, 4, 5 & 6 are almost certain. You can also expect wide angle HUD as well but no chance of 1, 2 or bubble canopy. More powerful engines but something around 21,000 to 22,000 Ib of thrust.

JF-17 Thunder is a such a success story worth appreciation. It is such a delight that PAF is already working on block-3 and these upgrades it will be truly a 4.5+ generation aircraft produced by Pakistan which can be exported, upgraded and produced as we want.

Bhaijan what makes you believe that block 3 will a 4.5+ gen ?
Are there any pet international standards for a 4.5 + gen which the block 3 will be able to meet ?

Hi,

Basically any late model aircraft with the most recent electronic warfare package---sesnor suite---aesa radar would be in the 4.5 gen.

JF17's Aperture is around 700mm not 600 and it will have 1000 T/R or above on AESA.

we cant call jf 17 a true 4.5 gen if block 3 don't have full FBW. as of now i don't think paf has any plans to introduce full FBW in thunder as it will raise 17's cost.
