Problem is army won't be able to sustain this whole show for long. The same sort of operations happened against PPP and MQM before, what happened, both parties came back.The parties will keep coming back unless and until establishment won't change their goals.
PPP was completely dead after Bhutto hanging but army didnt do the homework and didn't try to develop political leadership by doing the elections. And that resulted in creating big vacuum in the country. Which ultimately filled by Benazir. Top PPP brass was ready to move in the political process in 1977 but there was no political process in the country. Aitzaz was ready to become CM, Governor of Punjab not to talk about PM. Same was the case with other political elite of PPP.
MQM was wiped out in 1992 and in 1996 MQM Haqiqi was ready to fill the gap. Musharaf took them on board in 2001 and rest is the history.
Same drama or history will repeated now. Army has no plans or we could phrase it establishment won't clean their own houses and ultimately won't take this operation to its final destination. Because right now army is doing accountability, establishment doesnt want to do the accountability across the baord. Again whole this show will end up at nowhere.
