so what, Mirages from Egypt are basically for spares for our Mirages and F-16-block-70/72 will come with AMRAAM C-7 which have better range then Meteor that india is getting with RAFALE, and projected F-16 block 72 is on the par with RAFALE (comparable to RAFALE ) @Syed1.

I highly doubt we would be receiving f16 block 72 with AMRAAM C7, even getting more block 52 is a long dream for Paf. The only realistic option we have is JF17 block 3 or J20. J31 and TFX are decade away. From 2020 Iaf with Rafael will have a clear edge. We have to accept that.

As per @Khafee the deal almost done we will receiving F-16 Block- 72 in the time frame of 2022-2024 everything is possible and USA need Pakistan to get out from Afghanistan and also USA want balance in between India and Pakistan So other then F-16 what OTHER OPTIONS lefts for Pakistan as stop gap measures (i am not talking about to get 5th gen jets) EF-2000 EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE (150+ million $$ per jet), Grippen Sweden denying us, Su-35 just forget it we just started our warm relation with Russia its takes time to develop a trust between Russia and Pakistan and remember Indian lobby in Russia doma, India still a one of the biggest arm importer for Russia, there are lots of JV military project are running between India/Russia

In my opinions we have 2 options lefts on the table either we can go J-10C which PAF already rejected because JF-17 block-3 will tech from J-10C so both have same tech/capability with exception of Range and Payloads,

and 2nd option is we will go for MIG-35 From Russia it has cheaper price tag then Su-35 and Ease of maintenance, remember MIG-35 using RD-33MK engines and RD-93 is based on RD-33 series of engine,

and as for your J-20 dream, we will not able to get by any J-20 nowhere in near or in far future BECAUSE J-20 is ban for export according to Chinese govt LAWS, JUST LIKE USAF F-22 @PakAlp

. . . .
With most due respect we can go for SU 35 russia will sell who ever pays well recently you seen shift of russian bold thinking they are learning from US keep beoth melons in one hand

Other option is J 10
No , :disagree: we just started our warm relation with Russia its takes time gain a trust between the 2 countries, more Probable option is Mig-35, how about that sir @Super Falcon :azn:
