A darter was pushed along with mar-1 by South Africans but at the time Jf was new plus a darter itself was in development and trials Sa was willing to conduct trials of it even then most probably it will be an option along with pl10e , range wise its little less than IRST but its max g of 100g i.e. More maneuverable than IRST 60g

I think pakistan needs to work with turkey on seeker technology while pakistan needs to help turkey with ballistic missile tech

No proof to support aim-7, pl-9

Only pl5, aim9 sd10 and aim120 in paf service

Aim-7 were part of second f16 order which got embargoed

Pl9 for f7p were not preferred and f7p and pg got aim9 instead

for mirages, R550 magic is still there.

Some Piranhas are also in service but are rarely seen. Brazilians sent them for familiarization purpose as AF is still interested in B piranha.

No recent picture of matra-550 seen at least I have not seen anything anywhere nor paf official histroy talks about it it does mention reliving of aim9L to aim9-l1 which basically extend life another 20 years plus bring it to 9M standard


Most of the pictures are from 80s and early 90

Not sure if aim9p were upgraded to p4 which makes them all aspect vs original being rear aspect only
