What's wrong with the appearance of burqa ? If women can wear shorts , tops and other western cloths and if that can be considered as their freedom, then if women willingly wear burqa what's wrong with that? For identy face should be uncovered , but if someone want to wear that because of their own will, then, why does it bother others?

I agree with that. Okay this is near and dear to my heart so here's the deal...
Allah swt tells our Muslimahs to cover there chests with their head coverings.
Allah swt further tells us that some verses are clear and some are unclear.
Allah swt adds that those who are pious will say that both are from Allah while those who have evil in their hearts will concentrate and dwell upon the unclear verses.
Allah also tells us in the Quran that Allah has made what to do and what NOT to do very clear in the Quran.

So going BACK to the verse about covering the chest with head covering, we see that it is CLEAR that the chest MUST be covered. No ifs ands or buts about it. The vague part is the head covering BECAUSE two potentially different conclusions can be taken out of it:
1. The Muslims and the nonmuslim musrhik arabs of the time, be they male or female, covered there heads due to the harsh desert climate. Allah swt told the Muslim woman to cover her chest with her head covering THAT SHE WAS ALREADY WEARING (for obvious reasons).
2. That Allah swt is indirectly tellin the Muslim woman to cover her head as well as directly telling her to cover her chest.

Having said that, please recall what Allah swt says those who are pious accept both clear and unclear verses while those with evil in their hearts will constantly dwell upon the unclear. Since the part about covering the head is UNCLEAR, only those who have evil in their hearts would make an issue out of a woman NOT covering her head. While those who are pious would leave it up to the woman to decide whether she wants to cover her head or not BUT insist that the clear part of covering the chest INDEED be followed.

my dear brother, understand something about these so called "Islamic scholars". THERE IS NOTHING ISLAMIC ABOUT THEM. This ONE verse from The Holy Quran proves that they are not "Islamic" in the true sense:

Now ask yourself the following question:
Is every "Islamic" scholar tied to some sect? The answer is an overwhelming YES! Therefore, in the light of the verse above from The Holy Quran, they have become divided. And since they have become divided, they OBVIOUSLY have NOT held firmly to The Rope of Allah. And SINCE they have NOT held firmly to The Rope of Allah, THEN THEY CANNOT BE CONSIDERED AS ISLAMIC!!!!! DUH!!!!!!

I am actually moderate Muslim. However I know many women from my relatives who are willingly wearing burqa and without force. And many are just wearing saree ( mostly our aunt type ladies) , all are personal choice.

However Muslim ladies in my era mostly wear salwar kameez ( in urban areas ) and I have no obligation with that.

However if someone is very pious , love and fear allah very much, then she can wear burqa/Hijab too if she wish.
Old days ladies were so shy that they often used it without any compulsion.
In present days some seculars ( in BD) are trying to say that wearing burqa is compulsion, but that's simply not right.

I am not claiming that no man enforce burqa, yes many do. But there are lots of ladies who wear it willingly .
Even in these days.

I'm 45 years old and world travelled, be it in KSA or Pakistan or Malaysia or america, I have yet to meet a so called "Islamic scholar" that is NOT just ANGRY and full of HATRED towards other Muslims. I have yet to meet an "Islamic scholar" who was loving, fatherly, kind...someone you just wanna listen to over and over again, someone who is full of wisdom. The ONLY one that came close was Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Malik but I never "met" him except for a few minutes in my younger days as a child. And he too was killed by the followers of hate filled molvies! Aside from him, NONE! zip, zero, zappata!

And one thing that is common across ALL of these molvis in their behaviors is their severe and hate filled BELITTLING of women...

If the voluntary burqa wearers are allowed to wear burqas then over time those women who don't wear that accursed garment will become socially pressurized to wear burqa.

If u keep bowing down to the demand of fundamentalists they will just get over ur head and will keep demanding more and more. These types of hardliners r extremely difficult to please. The more u will give them, the more they will demand.

Having said that I don't think we can do anything about those who wanna wear burqa voluntarily. That's their basic right. But its also true that many of those these voluntery burqa wearers have been groomed in such a way from a very tender age that when they get older it becomes almost impossible for them to leave that particular attire.

If you give EITHER one of them an inch, they will want a foot...so the best you can and SHOULD do for yourself is that GIVE them that foot...only with a boot on!
