China always stood with Pakistan, offered military and economic benefits but Pakistan leadership due to their obvious nature always betrays allies.

Iran made many attempts to make good relations with Pakistan, was willing to sell gas/oil and electricity but Pakistan always backtracked due to foreign pressure. Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan and Central Asia state held a conference in Malaysia but Pakistan at first decided to attend but at the last minute backed out against due to foreign pressure.

Today Saudia Arabia decided they want to make amends with Iran but I am guessing they didn't bother to ask Pakistan first.

Now no country trust us, Russia & China are now thinking Iran to replace us for many aspects. and whatever backflip jumps we did has not even impressed US. Asim Munir visited UK and others but not to China, Shaheen exercises got cancelled or postponed, China closed the consular office in pak, several other indicators shows they are simply annoyed at surprising & foolish moves by establishment. These moves have showed China clearly that Pak Generals are desperate to become puppets for US.

3) Moment of Shame for many in PDF who used to criticize IK govt for not sending troops in Yemen.
We all remember many people in PDF were eager to send troops to Yemen, they were eager to discard Iran and participate in the war, There was one guy who always was ready to even start a war with Iran. Guess what, even Saudi & Iran patched up, where you'd hide your faces now? If you have so much habit of becoming mercenary for others then you have no self respect. So IK's policy yet again proved to be correct to not to become party in it. So the lesson in all that is NEVER let your military become mercenary for someone's else war.



Its time GHQ must apprise themselves with the real facts. Reconcile with China, stop selling any ammo for Ukraine (if they are doing it), Take benefit of Iran & Saudi agreement, Approach both (maybe through civil govt) and appreciate & support this agreement for region's prosperity, talk with Iran, make progress with Iran's oil & gas pipeline, and try to be a less puppet of the US, try to learn from Saudi & Iran, honorable countries do not always look at the west for their solutions, they do best decisions for their own national interests.

Facilitating an approachment between KSA and Iran was indeed way beyond Pakistan's strategic influence. Thinking the strategic rivalry between the two countries merely a bilateral issue is like missing whole context. This rivalry certainly has other dimensions too. Specifically, like many other countries, the state of relations, good or bad, between KSA and Iran is a function of the great game being played among world powers, China of course being one of them. Pakistan, even getting seriously and adversely affected by the rivalry between these two countries, was not in a position to pursue both countries to abandon their rivalry. Much worse than that, Pakistan's own relations with both Saudi Arabia and Iran went through a roller coaster journey especially during the IK government. Our relations even with Chine were cold-shouldered, if not went sour, due to extremely bad policies, to say the least, of the IK government. Frequent U-turns and extremely reckless diplomatic behavior of IK government were pushing Pakistan deep into diplomatic isolation. During all this time, GHA/Bajwa was almost always engaged in damage control process.

The way our military was/is getting Chinese weapon systems, there is no second opinion that our future strategic alliance will be with China. However, that does not really means or require that we turn hostile towards Western powers or force them to get hostile to us. The way the CPEC was failing and the speed with which IK diplomatically isolated Pakistan, Bajwa did the right thing by calling a spade a spade (i.e. he condemned Russian aggression against Ukraine). Looking at the looming possibility of the default due to IK's policies, GHQ knew that Pakistan would have to go to the IMF soon in order to avoid the default. The West, already pissed off by IK's foolish utterances and his Russia visit (being appropriate or not is not the issue here), was not very sympathetic towards Pakistan. On top of all that, IK intentionally and foolishly acted clearly in violation (rather opposition) of his agreement with IMF. Pakistan is still paying the price for that reckless and foolish IK's policies.

As for the economy doing well during IK government that is a lie. IK government got record amount of loans in Pakistan's history (without launching or completing a single national project - that's utterly shameful). Then due to Corona pandemic, Pakistan got some relief in returning the loan installments. All that resulted in an increase in our foreign reserves. Yes, Pakistan's cotton industry was booming because export orders saw a spike and the reason being that all those orders were actually diverted from India and Bangladesh (both got a serious hit due to the pandemic). Despite all this positive growth in one sector, Pakistan was still expected to default due to bad overall policies of IK government. That was indeed first realized by none other than the biggest stakeholders, i.e. the military. That's why they got fed up with continuous damage control process and decided to stop mentoring their illegally and unconstitutionally installed foolish goon, Imran Khan.
