Regret to say that neither OGDC nor POL release figures of the actual reserves. I get my data from the published sources and there is a dearth of information about proven reserves data about Pakistan.

Total reserves being quoted are between 300 to 450-million barrels of crude from the fields of Punjab, KPK & Sindh. Majority of the new discoveries are in the KPK area. As a guestimate; I would put total proven crude oil reserves in Sind in the 150 to 200-million barrels range.

I would welcome anyone with connections in the Ministry of Petroleum to enlighten us with accurate data.

There is quite a weird disparity. A visit to the office of the head of exploration at OGDCL will leave one wondering that Pakistan is literally overflowing with oil. Considering the ENTIRE length and breath of the area was market with a medium green shade that in their charts showed fairly reasonable reserves.

However, so far we haven't seen any proof of such bounty.

Sindh will go from the worst managed province in the country to the richest place on earth, Sindh is now the new Qatar. All on 1,095 barrels of crude oil per day.

As a child i used to think diesel was extracted from the earth then i came to know it was crude oil with lot of contaminations and other products like petrol and kerosene oil. It's refined first.

We need to build more refineries to cut the cost. For example India has world's largest oil refinery with two dozens in total when it is not in top three oil producing countries.

It's long term planning that benefits alot. If sir @niaz tell about it more.

I feel there is much more gas and oil reserves in Thatta, sanghar, dadu, badin, kashmore

Do you guys have any Ideas regarding current shell gas drilling in the US.

I used to supply Oil Grade FHG Guar gum Powder for slurry primarily to Haliburton, Megnablend & Optiblends in the US,
& whetherford in the ME. But all of sudden demand for the same almost evaporated. Mine sources are saying that companies are no more drilling new wells.

Wants to know your thoughts.

Do let me know if you guys are looking for such product.
