Landmark Presidential Vote begins in Turkey

You foreign Erdogan lovers are so dumb and blind. You are so into him because he's the saviour of the shitty Islamic world that you dont see that he is actually a prick that is jailing journalists, seizing and selling companies to his fellows, censoring the media and stealing billions of euros.

OH LOOK HE SAID SOMETHING AGAINST ISRAEL OMG. Fools.

The longer I think about it, the more it makes sense. He is the perfect leader for the Muslim world, he has all the qualifications needed.

you are dumb and blind firstl try to change oppositon party leaders this will be 10 th election defeat of their this is dishonor and they dont still resign afterthat you maybe a little chance came to the power

.
And whom do you expect to be liked, its clear erdogan will get the elections in one turn . Do you expect ihsanoglu to be president ? come on he even couldnt known national anthem .

İ dont like and support erdogan, nor i never voted ever once on AKP ,but sorry this time its clear who will win :D

Erdogan will win, İhsanoglu is too weak candidate, cant have a good speech, havent lived in turkey for years and grown up and egypt. doesnt have "enough" qualification in mind of most turkish people. he will be just voted with unified political groups just because their common candidate is him.
if there was a stronger candidate instead of ihsanoglu , he would win .

i feel damn sleeeepppy while listening ihsanoglu's speech:lazy2:

If this is the main opponent he sure as hell will win
Good oratory are very important
Check out his speech

.
@AUz as I said you dont know shit, you didnt even react to what I said.

.
Do you think there is anybody that can defeat Erdogan right now? o_O

Why can't u vote? Still 11 years old? :D

there might be somebody could do it , at least we know its not ihsanoglu since 1st :cheesy: , even me myself, who someone doesnt want to vote on erdogan, also doesnt want to vote ihsanoglu , :D and demirtas, even not mentioned in this race :nana:

im sorry but he is very weak against tayyip as well tayyip is the best leader of turkiye after ataturk

.
I woke up at lunch..my parents already had voted early this morning. I drank a tea and had some snack. Then I have gone to voting centre.. I have voted for CHP's (Actually MHP and others as well) candidate. Only because it has been founded by Atatürk. Nothing else. Because one himself is a terrorist, other is gonna serve to foreign interests and Erdoğan..well...you know the bastard. Not a damn difference between him and Fethullah Gulen. Thank God now they are destroying each other.

well he is not going to stand against him so you can count him out, what i meant was İhsanoglu oratory skills were very weak the

.
Really?! Dang, it means that turnout is going be really high?

Well, hopefully turnout is great. It will give more legitimacy to the victor ;)

Its not your problem if I care or not. We all have our favorites. Don't you remember in 2008, thousands of Germans came to see Obama? Did they have any problem?

PS, post on the topic.

Did you vote in the current election or not?
if you were an Erdogan hating American, European or whatever, you would be applauded and receiving 'thanks' by the same types for your knowledge about Turkey. any foreigner has the right to voice its opinion without getting back insults.

unfortunately Ihsanoglu and Erdogan have their disadvantages, its going to be choosing between two evils again.

. .
Are Turks generally in favour of giving the Presidency greater powers and transitioning to a Presidential model, or would they rather maintain the system that is in place now? What powers would parliament have to hold the Presidency to account?

vatana millete hayirli olsun....

.
This is democracy. The minority must accept the rule of the majority so secular and kemalist Turks must accept that the conservative and religious Turks with their leider Erdogan represent the majority of Turks. Oh but 40% is a strong minority anyway. Congrats to Turkey and all people who voted for Erdogan!

.
Oh but 40% is a strong minority anyway.

Not 40 but %47. You can't call %47 minority %53 majority.... if you go that way, you will create promblems in the society.... just like what happened in "Gezi Protests".

Other than that.... who knows this election have been fair or not.... Erdogan is a thief and a liar... i would be surprised if he had rigged the elections.
