The money makers in the US war machine like F-35s is where the action is. And guess what , its not being used in the war and its being built in large numbers (war or no war). Stingers, HIMARs are pocket change and Ukraine is getting these for free. So really there is no selling of the military hardware you speak of as the motivation

Workers in the US do not work for free. Every HIMARS rocket costs 200 grand. The US is not a Communist country where workers work for free. Even in China workers do not work for free.
