Even in our books there is no evil mention of those who didn't cooperate in our independence. Those visitors who left our country are shown as good. So in my opinion you people should not think like this. I have a friend from same region, will get his opinion on this matter for sure.

it is not good to call him names like Traitor. In his life he was admired by many.

His appeal went way beyond Pashtuns.

Pretty much everyone admired the guy even in areas now part of Pakistan.

So please let him rest in peace.

Bacha Khan and his Khudai Khidmatgar waged a peaceful, non-violent but still sanguinary struggle to liberate their land from the yoke of the British Raj. Who has never heard of the massacre of Qissa Khwani Bazar? Then how come their heroic struggle didn't find any place in mutala e Pakistan? The reason is quite simple, their struggle is not in accordance with the history that was created by the Muslim League after the inception of Pakistan. The Muslim League wallas didn't shed a single drop of blood to get rid of the firangis, but their never-ending stories of sacrifices for the sake of Pakistan are drenched with blood. Hardly anyone ever mentions that when in the late 20s early 30s NWFP and FATA were facing the full wrath of the British might, Bacha Khan had approached to both the Congress and Muslim League and offered them cooperation in the struggle for independence. The Muslim League wallas repudiated his offer, whereas Gandhi Jee heartily accepted his extended hand of freindship. Even after the creation of Pakistan Ghaffar Khan pledged allegiance to Pakistan when Abdul Qayum Kashmiri was ruthlessly killing his peaceful followers.

In Pakistan the children are taught a very distorted version of history in order to justify the creation of this country, and above all to glorify the self-aggrandizing "qurbanis" and struggle of a certain group of people.

Sindh never voted against Pakistan. Sindh had actually always been in the forefront of Pakistan movement. In 1938? a so-called Pakistan resolution was presented in the Sindh Assembly under the leadership of none other than G. M. Syed which was adopted. Ironically, just like Ghaffar Khan, G. M. Syed is also considered an Indian agent and a traitor in islam ka qila. Go figure!

All the Punajbi landlords were the backbone of the Unionist Party before the opportunists jumped on the bandwagon of Muslim League in 1946 because Congress had declared that it would implement land reforms after the independence of India. The Muslim League took the advantage and managed to get the support of big Khans of NWFP and feudal lords of Punjab. The political clout of these feudal landlord in Pakistan is still enormous for which the credit goes to the myopic policies of Jinnah and his Muslim League.

This is what happens when you divide a country into two-three parts on baseless out of the world things,creating new nationalities overnight.... One starts something, the other responds in a same manner,because in the end we are the same with centuries of common heritage,language,culture which are atleast worldly things,as far as religion is concerned... Maybe Jinnah had good intentions,thats why he insisted people should have tolerance and goodwill even after Pakistan was born.... He even cried in self-contempt after he saw the condition of the refugees,realising,what he had unleashed,and how same people of either "now diffrent nationalities",won't share his sentiment of goodwill towards each other,after their nationalities got divided..... People like Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan realised this would happen if the country was divided,and thus,was against it... As we can see now,in the end,we are the same people,with similar responds and sentiments...
