Nah man, not using it politically. But when peoples may choose whatever they can eat.
But it's look like a dirty joke when you can't control rice market while peoples are hungry, then peoples aren't very happy.
And what else I can say? Do.you remember 1996 period of Sheikh hasina?
This time was much prosperous to the time of Khaleda zia's first time (1991).
Some say that day by day everything improve. Nice logic no doubt, then why from 2001-2006 was the worst time in Bangladesh history ( except famine time)? I am not going to explain in detail vast you already know that. Only some paid bnp who live on money of bnp even try to defend the worst year on those 5 years, and as a non political person it enrage me.
So I made such comment just as a simple mockery.
In those time even rice production was lower than our capacity and bnp govt was not taking proper steps to increase production.
Yet they came to power in 2001.
Pathetic Bengalis just elected them.

P.s: hypothesis, believe me, if I will ever have such power ( hypothesis) , I will make such peoples suffer because of endless loadsheding in cruel summer every single day and night, who still want to vote Khaleda for the sake of stinky democracy.
However this loadsheding incident ( 16-18 hours in a day in regular basic) was most severe to me as I drink cold water even in winter, don't know why I am like that, every body surprised because of it.
So I just became traumatic about 2005-06 specially, as because both such loadsheding I just suffered many physical problems
Even I was hospitalized several times.

My IPS was not charging without electricity, and I can't afford operate generator because of high operating and maintenance cost. Also generator lines weren't not available in residential area.
I explained it in another tread. And I find here guilty for such sufferings so even I can't tolerate her existence as major opposition ( in this case I am totally irrational) so no argument).
In short I just hate the witch more than the most.

Yet, in one of her public speech Begum Zia told the audience something like this, "Our country is now producing 3400 MW of electricity and the power demand will be fulfilled once we establish power stations to produce a further 600 MW". She said it while I think the minimum requirement is about 100,000 MW.

She was the PM, yet she does not know A,B,C of the development of her country. Either she does not know or she does not want to do. Her next pet project, if elected, will be to rename the international airport in Dhaka and she will stop all the development works now undergoing in the country.

I live in a small district town and we don't need much electricity to cover the town under pdb. Like if you need 15-20 MW you are getting exactly the 1/3, 1/4 to 1/5 of it. Never even half in 2005-06. I directly ask it from pdb control room that time.

And also as far I can remember, when Sheikh hasina resigned, electricity production was more than 5000 MW. even if bnp produces 3400 MW, it's a pure disgrace to them.
That time electricity demand was not too high though as many villages weren't under electricity.
And in the Sheikh hasina regime ( 1996-2001) we had loadsheding here but it's juts around 4 hours a day in summer.
And currently only 1-2 hours maximum loadsheding in summer. Just last year because of Kal boishakhi electricity tower broke in sunamganj and norsingdi and cause 2 weeks heavy trouble you know, and that reminded me 2005-06 again. But it was tackled by quick rental power in 2 weeks.
So now govt only need to maintain electricity lines, towers etc because lots of those are very old.

Firstly she is completely uneducated but maybe that doesn't matter a lot.
Secondly she is the wife of a general and we all know our generals and their wives are not same. Our Army folks are Gloria and for the right reason our Army folks wives are never involved in politics, no reason right?
But her ( Mrs zia) case is different than others I.believe. I admit that she is ignorant about almost everything. But is she blind? She is not right? is she mentally sick? No.
So even she don't know the A.B.C still she can develop if she has minimal sense of humanity. She do not care about common folks, she came to power only to loot. In her first term she was not such witch so situation wasn't too bad.
In second term she became totally monster. She just looted and looted. And Will just devout Bangladesh if elected again.

still I also don't blame her a lot, I blame those personality less heinous Bengalis who just want to lick the boots of political leaders.
Why public will even vote for her? Are we blind or dumbass that we can't realize the works of witch? If you still arrange a fair election artless 30% fixed Bengal will vote her. Because since they eat dhan ( paddy) , they will vote for dhaner sheesh.
This was the mentally of lots of village population. And the rest was led by takfiri propaganda.
If this is the mentally, why this witch will not prevail? So.I believe it's only military danda to keep them civilized.
Now this military backed regime is doing very well. and I want them rule as long a hasina is alive. Because if any living politician truly have love and care to common folks, it's only Sheikh hasina.
Her only weakness is she love flattery. But she is human being so weak points are not unnatural for us.

Truly I think BD needs to resolve these issues of its very identity as a country.....rather than playing shove one half into closet out of view and winner takes all etc...because then the hammer falls over time, reversal/revolution occurs and the situation just gets worse and worse...more and more brittle and polarised, in a country already with one language and massive majority ethnic group etc....like wtf.

BD Police are pre-emptively arresting known active BNP supporters in large numbers (got coverage in Indian media even)....what is this?....horrid. I don't know whats worse, such a thing happening in first place or population doing little in response....I mean if you are not total BAL sycophant (and maybe even if you are for just convenience sake) you can easily be next if you show you can tolerate it....as long as its not yet you at the time.

This attitude must be purged from BD, best to do it now rather than later (when urban population and much more wealth and thus blood is on the line). But what are the options for BNP and will enough ppl listen and act? Does BNP need to fall and rise up as a new phoenix?...maybe thats best idea rather than countering dynasty with another dynasty....because that lends to impression of status quo no matter what in the neutral minds.

Khaleda and her son don't have what is required to oust fascism from BD. Most people in BD are so emotional that they cannot see beyond Zia's memory. The problem is in our unicameral legislature. Only one party can rule while others have to sit duck for another chance. While in power the one party tries all to diminish others and only 30-40% people views are reflected in national level. No parties want to leave power. In Indian ocean to swim have to pay homage to bigger shark. If there was a provincial system, all parties would have a chance and democratic environment would evolve much faster.

Understood bud, that is the impression I have got from other BD people I have talked to. BNP needs overhaul basically and new crystalised and defined leadership...maybe a retired military mind or an achiever of some sort.

BNP clearly needs a change of leadership. Seriously, as neutral who hates both the begums. I can clearly say, suppose one thing, if either of them were to be given time span to change the nation for good. Hasina will develop BD in many areas at a faster better rate in 10years than Khaleda Zia, leading BD for 30years!

BNP, if to get back in power has to change it’s policy, ways, politics. Need to change the freaking old leader who is more into beauty parlour than having a decent plan to do for the country going foward. Otherwise BNP won’t be coming to power till post 2030!

Probably, it is 2042 because Hasina told something like her possible time of death in a public speech. She told her audience that her grandfather Sk. Lutfur rahman died at the age of over 95 or something like this. She will be about 95 in 2042.
