Keeping India out of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations

Guys talking about history....

You know the best part of history? A Super Power Army made the largest surrender(that too unconditional) in history since WW2.

The Irony is they accuse us of obsessing over Pakistan...when in reality it's them who can't accept their fate. Earlier this year Nawaz spoke about Bangladesh and 71. Then their foreign minister blamed Bangladesh of sabotaging SAARC. And this article this article from a Pakistani paper. But blame all on Hasina.

Pakistanis have some serious issues. No matter what they can't take responsibility it seems. It's always someone else's fault. Blame America the former best buddy, blame Afghanistan the neighbor and brotherly Muslim nation, blame India the neighbor and reason of butt hurt and blame Bangladesh because they surrender.....It's always someone else's fault. They perhaps should move their country to a different planet. Since everyone screws them.
Bangladesh should have joined india and in the process united the Bengali peoples, what a shame....

Doesnt change anything regarding the Muslim League being able to represent itself as political party of the Muslims.

"While by 1946 the Muslim League could rightly claim to speak for Muslims of the subcontinent, winning 425 of the 496 seats reserved for the Muslims"

From Midnight to Glorious Morning?: India Since Independence, Mihir Bose

"The Muslim League won 425 of the 496 seats reserved for Muslims"

The Army and Democracy, Aqil Shah

The Muslim League won the Muslim election (vote) from Bengal, Punjab, Sindh (as already shown) and the rest of British India. Bengali nationalists giving themselves undue extra credit is the falsification of history going on here that I am contradicting. Did Bengal play an important part in Pakistan's creation? Sure. Was it the only player involved? By no means yes.

Muslims of western frontier were threat to India (without British) because they had heavy presence in Armed forces, had borders and cultural links with Muslim countries on West. And chances that they would have leaned towards these countries was high in any future conflict with them or internal dispute between them and Hindus. That's why British & Congress preferred to divide the country (instead of accommodating their demands) to get ride of them and have a buffer state to secure rest of India. So, PAKISTAN was bound to happen with or without Bengalis - In fact there was little chance that they would have got Bangladesh in 1947 had they gone separate way at that time. Because they weren't a unmanageable problem for India at that time nor are now.

I never claimed Bengalis only played role in creation of Pakistan. It's appeal permeated to the most of muslim specially in the closing years of 1947. My point was, in current Pakistan, there is a dominant view that, East Pakistan was an 'extra' appendage of Pakistan unnecessarily joined with the ''real'' Pakistan. they conveniently forget the pioneering and dominant role Bengali muslim played for the Pakistan project during those years. That's why they very easily dismiss Bengalis as a 'gaddar,' 'traitors' etc by not to trying to understand why Bangladeshi people choose to become separate in 1971 from the very state they fought hard to established 24 years ago. If I have to give an answer to this question then I would tell, west Pakistani leadership robbed away the Bengali's 'own' Pakistan.Bengali people could not recognized that Pakistan of their own anymore.

Liaquat Ali Khan was born to an aristocratic Punjabi family in Karnal, then undivided Punjab. He was a Punjabi born in Punjab without any doubt.
Liaqat Ali Khan was a Muhajir. Since he could not be elected in the 1946 election in his native land, he was required to get elected to remain the PM of Pakistan. He was nominated by the ML to contest in a vacant seat somewhere in Barisal and was elected an MLA of Pakistan.

34,000 troops vs 75 million bangalis, 15:1 indians.. thousands of miles from home..

And what was the costs for you?

Those guys must be supermen by your logic.

We accepted and moved on from 71.

Unlike Bangladeshi parties still using 71 nonsense for politically mileage after so many decades.

As for SAARC, im sorry but you are just a pawn .. While Pak is the founder of SAARC.

Oh please kid..

Afghanistan was the only neighbour which didnt even recognise Pakistan.

Which invaded Pakistani territory twice!

Which protested Pak at OIC.

Which supported terrorism in Pakistan.

Whose agent assassinated Paks first PM.

And much more!

And we dont blame bangali pawns for 71...

As for America.. sure yes we do and we have reasons..

Now you run along, pole vault or die trying.... you guys have been fleeing shonar bangla for evil Pak... no wonder we have 2.5 million illegal bangladeshis in Pakistan.

And indians moaning over the invasion of bengal and assam.

Pakistani don't call the Punjabi who migrated from Indian Punjab Muhajir. Technically they are Muhajir as they did Hijrat. But Muhajir is a term used in Pakistan exclusively for the Urdu speaker from Uttar Pradesh Bihar or some other province of India.Punjabis who migrated from Indian Punjab to Pakistani Punjab, easily assimilated in Pak Punjab without any distinction. So this term 'Muhajir' is not applicable to them.

linguistic ethnic nationalism is a curse and bound to fail in the long run. Bengali leaders wooed you played a linguistic card. Rest there were many mistakes on our part. The political ones and NO you are wrong East Pakistanis still remember the role played by Bengali Muslims in creation of Pakistan.

Pakistanis don't understand that everytime they bash Awami League for Bangladesh Independence the party gets more stronger.
BD does not matter in Pakistani politics, Pakistani affairs and common man's life but unfortunately your entire political wrangling in Independent Bangladesh still revolves around Pakistan. So in my personal opinion it is not Pakistanis who are playing any role in BD political landscape, it is your own mindset that had been fed on hate since 71.

ecause he wasnt Panjabi? Because he didnt speak Panjabi?

And because he spoke urdu and took care of urdu speaking refugees ... he was accused of being biased.
It does not matter whether Liaquat Ali speak urdu or not. he was a Punjabi. Ethnic and cultuaral heritage is an important identity. Suppose, I myself a Bengali, suddenly switch language to Punjabi, would I become a Punjabi then? Obviously not.Same with Liaquat Ali Khan.

.
Indians as usual stinking up the place

we dont want any relationship with Dhaka till their foreign policy is being written in New Delhi. shame on Sheikh Hasseina who went to the UN to bash Pakistan just last year.

If Indians and bengalis want to cry genocide then Pakistan will also point to the Sikh genocide against Muslims during the 1947 partition where sikh killed millions of muslims.

Sure, but he wasnt a Panjabi rather a haryanvi..

Karnal had a minority muslim population.. most of whom migrated to Pakistan.. but there are still muslims living in Haryana.. all of them are hindi speakers not Panjabi.

No it is not. Awami League's biggest legitimacy lies in leading the nation to independence. So they will imphasize on that event. But they talk about the Pakistan of pre-1971 in the context of their role in giving independence thus claiming the right to govern. They are not bothered about the current Pakistan. Current Pakistan has no relevance in Bangladeshi politics or any other walk of national life.

It is about Pakistan. Current or United old one. It does not matter. AL claiming right to govern millions of Bangladeshis on the pretext of their role in separating from mainland Pakistan, does not hold any weight. They should come up with some progress for current generation of Bangladeshis which should be the main point they be voted for not because what happened in 71.

How many of the 75 mil did actually fight? And under what kind of retarded logic you guys sent only 34k soldiers to take care of things there? Although I think number of POWs are like 93k? But anyway I wasn't implying that we were superman...heck not even moderately brave or capable. I am saying that you guys were plain retard to do what you did.

Sure sure....your former pm brings 71 when he is getting investigated for corruption. Your parliamentarians criticize our war crime trial even when we say it is our internal matter. Sure you have moved on. Great. Grab a cookie.

Also you are full of misinformation. BD president of that time Ziaur Rahman(He was also the major of mighty Pakistani army when he declared BD's independence) took initiative to build SAARC. BD is also a founding member of SAARC. Although it is a useless organization.

Oh please kid..

Hail ummah.

I said this to Indians...gonna say to you guys as well. If you can find any Bangladeshi illegally living in Pakistan, do send him back. But before that you have to prove that he is from Bangladesh with some sort of document issued by govt of Bangladesh. If you can't then stop b!tching.
We have absorbed many Urdu speakers from pakistan as well. And now taking Rohingyas.

You know how stupid you guys sound with all this suppa pawa mentality? Everyone from America to Afghanistan makes fun of you. And despite you guys having nukes too. American president tweets and your whole country trembles. Seriously are you a country or a circus? Godfather of terrorism Bin Laden is found and killed in your soil. And yet you guys are accused of sheltering one terrorist after another. The likes of Dawood and I'm sure there are more. Uncle Sam drone strikes you and you are like thanks for the money. Oh....god....heck oh gods....jesus, Zeus, Jehovah, Kami-sama, Bhagwan, Odin and the rest. I don't know it seems blessing from one God is not enough to save from what your country has become. So, may all the gods bless you guys.

Bangladesh is the country you get for free when you buy India map. And both arent going anywhere anytime soon. Anything significant wrt foreign relation of BD and it will be scrutinized by India.

It's not too late. Long down in the road India will screw itself. Be it 100 or 1000 years, they will screw themselves with so many ethnicities. When it does we will be there to take few portion from them. Most of the Indian districts bordering BD are Muslim majority...with a lot of Bengali people too.
