Incorrect the Marathas were dominant only from 1720 till 1760 when they were defeated by the Afghans in 1761 & after that the British started to erode them from 1775 onwards , Remember it took the Mughals @ least 10-12 years to fall after Aurangzeb 1707 , & by the way the Marathas never ruled India in its entirety , there were the Mysore kingdom , Nizam , Nawab of Bengal , Ranjeet Singh , Awadh , Ahom, & the East India Company Too @ the same time with the Marathas
The Marathas Ruled only A large part of India & not the entire India & that too @ max 50 years & before that , they were confined to a small piece of land called Raigad

The third one ended Maratha rule. In the early 19th century, the Marathas still ruled most of what is the Indian subcontinent.

2. "Marathas never ruled India in its entirety" - Nobody did, other than Ashoka and the Mauryas. Marathas came close. They defeated the Bengal Sultanate, Mysore Kingdom, Nizam of Hyderabad decisively and made them cede territory and pay taxes to the Marathas. They were little more than vassals all this time. The Ahoms and the Sikhs coexisted with the Marathas perhaps due to sharing a similar faith.

3. "The Marathas Ruled only A large part of India & not the entire India" - They ruled most of India, almost as much as the Mughals ever did in their zenith.

They expanded further to the South and the North West for brief periods till 1775, after which they went on a steady decline.

Where have I said Pakistanis are wannabes, brain dead zombies??? Have you been smoking something? Most Pakistanis eulogise bin qasim, gaurI, ghaznavi et al. And it's true to say many tribes have foreign ancestory that give pakistan a rich composition, however we should also respect ancient peoples of this great land. Look at Egypt, Iraq and Iran , no one worships pyramids and the Qur'aan gives examples of firaawn they should be a lesson to all of us

I am not good in Indian history. Just good in digging stuff up. The NE had Ahoms, Tripura Kingdom, Naga Animists Warriors. This was before they became enlightened and came to the Christian camps.

It's quite ironic actually kautiliya or chanakaya was actually a son of the soil of pakistan. He was born in taxila, he was a gandharan through and through. What he learnt and taught is what he acquired from the great ancient civilisation of gandhara. He was a Brahmin and influenced much of what chandragupta maurya achieved.

It's a shame Pakistanis think more of foreign invaders than one of their own. Kautiliya, as well as the great Sanskrit grammarian panini and the mathematician pingala were all gandharans. Pakistanis have forsaken this great history as if it is an insult to islam, no one says that you have to go mandir and and do head banging at statues, rather to respect and learn the history of their ancestors!

There is a lots of version about his native place .One is Taxila ,other is South India.But none of it is proved.

And Arthashastra is written when he was in Gujarat and Maharshtra.

ISIS is non issue here.

* Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Maldives are Muslim states carved out of Bharat Mata, that's on top of 250-300 million Muslims still left in India as a 'strategic deposit. We made sure Bharat Mata was impragnated with hundreds of millions of Muslims which are now almost 15% of its population.

* Almost a dozen Muslim states were carved out of 'Mother Russia' in last 25 years.

I don't know what is the problem with this @Horus guy, he behaves very childishly, see his all responses, he is speaking for all the worlds muslims as if he is some appointed spokesperson.
If there is so much unity among themselves why are they eating each other out. dont go farther look in to Pakistan itself.
They are busy in self destruction(and btw this is one of Kautilaya/Chanakya method).
So Kautilya and chanakya methods are everywhere from Pakistan till Syria or Yemen or Afghanistan, and they are played to perfection.

There is one more teaching "if you cant achieve Akhandta then break enemy in to small small pieces" in the same language it will be "khand khand" kar do or "khandit kardo".

Delhi was under Muslim rule from 1192 to 1720. Marathas took real control of Delhi by 1720. Muslim kings spend most of the time killing each other
