Ours is a country with many religion, Either we have to respect the religious sensitivities of everyone or none at all. Just like I wouldn't want Hindus to hold drawing a cartoon day, I want Muslims to respect us. Indian states are governed by our constitution, cow slaughter is banned according to article 48 of that constitution, Father of the Nation too wanted ban on it. Being a majority in a state or country has nothing to do with laws.

Our religion is not so weak that people saying negative things about it will destroy it. Free speech should be allowed to flourish-whichever country. We have barbarian mullahs, you have people who don't see secularism as the liberating power, a power that provides freedom to all... including you. No offense meant but you and many other Indian posters here are the equivalent or far worse example of Zarvan.

Gandhi was a smart man. I don't think he would approve of "no cow slaughter" in a land where there were many muslims. He respected us, hence his stand on palestine, Turkey and khilafat. He supported muslims where he could and I respect Gandhi for this.

You have to give it to Owaisi. I mean isn't india the largest exporter of beef. I mean you are willing to hurt your own peoples incomes? Also as Owaisi said if you know its going to be slaughtered why sell it and then you also call it your mother. Does someone sell his mother?

It proves that the term "cow is maa" is used quite selectively and only to target minorities, be it Christian or Muslim. The goa mata stand dissipates into air the moment the question is asked from a more general standpoint. It is Hindus that sell their cows, the largest consumer of beef are hindus as the largest consumers of alcohol are muslims in Pakistan.

Let acceptance and tolerance prevail. I don't understand why Muslims should be making a sacrifice. How about we ask for a pork ban. How many bans will you enact? And you ban something for one religion then you must do so for the other too. Secularism is treating all fairly or none at all.

Correction muslims of the subcontinent are Pakistanis, no matter where they are. This is the only land that will give you sanctuary from the mob in India or anywhere else. Thats why my parents migrated. Am proud of that decision. Azad Deccan Council claims that there is nothing such as an Indian muslims. We are all Pakistani or independent. Independent Kashmir, Lucknow and Hyderabad. More to follow as we realize how this country (India) has kept us weak.

Maybe I speak more aggressively when provoked but hey I am emotional about it. Lucknow is my hometown as is Hydz and Delhi since I have people there and many of us had to run off from there. Pakistan is my country and our only hope. Indian muslims need to ask themselves the question where they will go if the Indians massacre them.
