Death is regrettable but you get what you ask for. Cows were slaughtered in the valley to mock Kashmiri Pandits and now they have decided enough is enough and they want to give it back in equal measures. They kept silent and thought Indian Secularism will help them when threats of mass killings and rapes were played on loudspeakers, but now they are standing up for their right to live respectfully. Big up Kashmiri Pandits.

PS: Pleasantly surprised to see that Kashmiri Pandits had this side as well.

Surprisingly our hindu brothers stood beside us. We should never forget the Jogindar Nath Mandal's of our nation. Hindus had as much part making Pakistan as we muslims did. The best we can do is treat them well and not give them any excuse to migrate to Indian occupied parts like we did. I believe we have a duty to minorities in Pakistan. The way you put it (without sugar coating I may add) makes it sound like a genocide of muslims waiting to happen. I mean I don't know but people armed and ready to "defend" their religion sounds pretty scary to me. There is nothing heroic about it, culprits must be brought to books. It's just I believe people in J&K have decided that they won't be cowed down anymore. People when frustrated do take law in their own hands. Kashmiri Pandits migrated from the valley under threat leaving behind their ancestral properties and then being made to put up with cow slaughter on the streets of the valley why? Is this what Secularism is all about?

I loved how BJP MLA Raina stood up to provocations of Rashid Engineers but I don't have high hopes from them too. People need to stand up to remind India that Kashmiri Pandits are still being poked just for being Hindus.
