Exactly, even after a complete defeat of NLI you guys will remain in denial. It has something to do with 'one Pakistani is equal to 10, 100... Hindustani' Mentality...

No one really cares what a anonymous soldier has written or said to another one, but alas the ones who on record say it are fools to contradict a unknown soldier. I see we do not have to worry about the rise of Pakistan for quite some time..

Well, i would rather honour the saying of a soldier than an internet warrior.....any day. !!!

Why do you have to be intellectually dishonest?

I mean *** kicking?

Our guys were gunning down your jawans like shooting fish in barrel till the bofors came.

Do you have a hard time admitting it due to ego?

After the Bofors came and the Mirage precision strikes your jawans were running and hiding and still getting killed.

What matters is in the end you lost over 3000 soldiers and a disgraceful exit.

The only thing Pakistani Army captured in Kargil was the President House of Pakistan.

kargil was a success at operational level but failure of Political leadership to withstand American Pressure made it costy. Our main losses occured when NS unilaterally agreed withdrawl in washington and failed to get gurentee that enemy will not bomb withdrawing forces

Unfortunately week leadership caused damage. But Indians lost confidence and the result was during porakaram they lost 1800 troops without firing bullet and their army chief accepted that they were in no shape for war.

few POW's prove that India won?
:v

Pakistan started Kargil War to get a spanking and spanking is what they got.
Acc.to their own Lt.Gen they lost more troops in Kargil than in 1971.

Nope, the fact that Kargil is still in Indian hands prove that India has won..

do you know what victory in war means :)

It doesnot matter you have the land , what matters is achievement of policy goals :)

Actually NS was saving your Armys dignity by agreeing withdrawal in Washington

Is this count gonna increase day by day??

What policy you achieved?? Please enlighten us.. You destroyed a peace initiative put foreward by India. Your credibility in International stage has destroyed.. You lost more than 3000 people and still did not achieved the man objective.. Please share with us what you achieved by Kargil war..

In the event India is unable to retake Kargil, it means full scale war, which your military or civilian leadership did not foresee.

PAF didn't not have BVR at that time unlike IAF and Pakistani Navy was not ready for war.
Unfortunately week leadership caused damage.

Shariff saved Pakistan from potential defeat in full scale war.

But Indians lost confidence and the result was during porakaram

Operation Parakram was done in 2001 December, Kargil happened in 1999 May-June

they lost 1800 troops without firing bullet and

Lies! There were artillery duels

their army chief accepted that they were in no shape for war.

More Lies

few POW's prove that India won?
:v

Achieving stated objectives, which was retaking Kargil, was achieved.

Wrong again. By the end of it at the operational level it was turning out to be a disaster. Your posts could not be supplied, rations had run out. There were Pakistani Army soldiers fighting with just chewing sugar tablets for energy as full rations as well as ammunition had run out. An ode to their bravery and perseverance. But that does not mean the enemy still doesnt kill you.

PA was being systematically being removed peak after peak. Nawaz just saved your army more casualties.

Good lord, there's going to be bannings galore in this thread. Get some dignity gents, your angry words betray you, your prejudices, your 'arguments' for the ethnocentric, racist nonsense of your fervid dreams.

And those of you who probably have never heard a shot fired in anger, probably never even heard a shot fired, appear to be the most macho, with the most bloody descriptions and tales of gore.

I agree, the Kargil war plan was brilliant, but Pakistan acted too late. Pakistan should have done the Kargil War earlier like in the early 1990's.

Going from Kargil and then to Leh. the Indians would be entirely cut off from the Eastern sector.

They would be deep crap. They wouldn't survived another war after that.

yes from kargil to leh then to where...... oh we were doomed........

Obviously, because it never happened, Mujhaideen alas were NLI, now that was a fact!

Do I need to say how distorted history is fed to dull Pakistanis like you! :azn:

The NLI, a paramilitary force in 1999, was made a regular regiment of the Pakistan army after its performance in the Kargil War. Speaks volumes of what these 4k-5k fighters did to 35,000 Indian Soldiers with 10+ squadrons of IAF Jets (that's right, over 150 Jets of the Indian Air Force)!!!

Despite all that, and the instrumental fact that these NLI fighters volunteered to go to Kargil knowing full well that there would not be any backup or support, Indian Government had to beg the Americans to force their pet Nawaz Sharif to back down! Even today we hold some important stretegic positions at Kargil including the all important peak 5353! You may have a good read in "Unfinished Issues from Kargil War" the following article which has some substance.....but only after it has sugar coated the little military gains Indian Army and Indian Air Force could achieve with fairy tales of achievements.

The Bofor Guns were the game changer in this conflict.

If India didn't have them then we could have turned this into an Indian Iwo Jima, where India would have had to expend atleast 10,000 soldiers to re-take those hills.

Not really......it was Nawaz Sharif that changed the game for India, diplomatically. It changed a major Indian Military embarrassment in to eventual diplomatic victory. Any patriotic leader in his position and today the Kashmir issue would have been solved under the plan of Kargil.
