One more time..India killed all the intruders threw them outside and did not let the Pakistani objective of taking Kargil to succeed = Indian victory...

I would very much like to think that the Pakistani families ask this question to Musharraf that what did he gain from this misadventure, because it achieved nothing for Pakistan apart from death of thousands of young men.If they dont ask this question, then I am sorry, but I will have to conclude that these families simply didnt care for their sons.

India not only won Kargil, but also the rest of the skirmishes/wars, be it 1948,1665,1971,1999.

And be rest assured, you dont need India to destroy Pakistan.You yourself are perfectly capable of doing that, which is in fact, happening these days.In any case, dont forget, it took 13 days for India to reduce Pakistan by the size of France back in 1971.

Now that Nawaz Sharif is back for second term, is he gonna constitute a inquiry commission into Kargil fiasco or victory which ever it may be. All we have is our official version of the report but none from other side. We have to depend on Pakistani Media like the one above from Najam Sethi to inform us about your version.

3000 Pak soldiers died in Kargil: Benazir


Some 3,000 Pakistani servicemen died in the 1999 conflict in Kargil, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto has said, rubbishing General Pervez Musharraf's claim that the Pakistani establishment was not involved in the confrontation.

In an interview to Gulf Today from London, Bhutto said post-mortem reports of many of the servicemen showed that they had been eating grass because the service lines were cut and they were abandoned.

In another interview to Khaleej Times, she described Gen Musharraf as "the architect of the Kargil conflict".

Sarcastically, she added that Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would welcome him with gifts of Kashmiri handicrafts at their summit in Agra.

Gen Musharraf was Pakistan's army chief during the Kargil conflict while Nawaz Sharief was prime minister.

Pakistan had denied the involvement of its troops in the conflict even as India maintained that the intruders in the sensitive area were actually Pakistani soldiers.

RazPak bhai, why do you always talk like an imbecile in permanent rehab? That general did NEVER say that India 'fuggled' in Kargil. What he meant was that THE INDIAN ARMY FAILED TO EXPLOIT THE SITUATION TO ITS ADVANTAGE BY ATTACKING ACROSS THE LoC IN SPITE OF THROWING THE PAKISTANI ARMY BACK. THAT WAS WHY, ACCORDING TO HIM, IT WAS NOT A COMPLETE VICTORY.

Well, do you see now what he meant? He never said that Pakistan won the war!! So you can dance and shout by misreading on purpose what he meant. The fact is Pakistan got screwed. Period! Ask your generals notably Gen Kayani, then 10 Corps Commander who mentioned in his interview that the PA never expected such a deadly response from the IA and that the Bofors guns played merry hell with the PA inflicting unacceptable casualties!

He also mentioned that Nawaz rushed to America to persuade India to cease the assaults as "Pakistan Army ka izzat ka swaal thha." Meaning they were getting it hard and needed to withdraw without further casualties!! (These are not my words. Its Pakistan's 10 Corps Commander's).

One of the main objectives of the 'gang of four' that included Mush was to capture Siachen. If Pakistan had won the Kargil war as many of you seem to think (due to ISPR propaganda) then how come Siachen is still with India? If you couldn't achieve your main objective it means you lost the war. QED!

Also go ask Nawaz who's party has produced a white paper on the war where it is mentioned that the PA suffered more than 3000 casualties!

You can never fight a war without artillery and air support. But Pakistan couldn't employ these since Mush was lying through his teeth when he told the world that those fighting in Kargil were 'Kashmiri freedom fighters'!! So obviously he couldn't use his artillery as the so called freedom fighters don't have any! If he had used it, then the cat would have been out of the bag, meaning that the world would have seen that it was the PA which was actively involved in the conflict and not the so called freedom fighters!!

And in his book, Mush still contends that they were Kashmiri 'freedom fighters'!!
