Indian PM writes to King of Jordan, condemns brutal killing of Flight Lt. Muath al-Kasasbeh
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has written to His Majesty King Abdullah-II Ibn Al-Hussein, the King of Jordan, saying he was "deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the brutal killing of Flight Lt. Muath al-Kasasbeh."
"This incident is a stark reminder that the persisting menace of terrorism and extremism continues to remain a formidable challenge, calling for a concerted and sustained response from the global community. We strongly condemn such heinous, senseless and cowardly acts," the Prime Minister wrote.
"In this hour of grief, India stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and the people and Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan," the Prime Minister added.

King receives more cable of condolences over death of Kasasbeh
Amman, Feb. 6 (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II received more cables of condolences form leaders of Arab and friendly countries on the martyrdom of Pilot Muath Kasasbeh.
The King received cables from the King of Bahrain Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifah, the President of the Republic of Gaboun Ali Bongo Ondimba and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
His Majesty also received similar cables from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri as well as from senior officials form Arab and friendly countries.
