No India has Kamala Devi Harris the expected running mate of Biden. Her previous statements on India are very pro India. She is half Indian and half American African. If Biden got elected and she becomes VP then she will be running the policy on India.
So watch out what you ask for.
Her policies or Biden will be no different then what Obama has going with Modi 95% love affair, big Hugs and 5% words of caution to Modi on Religious freedom and rights of Minorities. I love to see if they can tell Modi that business will not be same if he don't stop his Facsist policies and give rights to Kashmiri people of self govern.Kamala Harris will most likely be the preferred Democrat President in 2024 if she becomes the VP, so she won’t comprise her standing with the left wing of the party by supporting Modi’s fascist policies. Already, she’s trying to redeem her controversial policies as California attorney-general.
The left wing of the Democratic Party is very powerful and just this week dethroned number of seasoned democratic stalwarts. This group led by Ilhan Omar, AOC etc are vehemently against Modi’s fascist policies.
So, be careful what you wish for.
Concerning Pakistan, they will both be against us.

The NRIs just went all republican even if it leads to them losing the h1b for India forever.
My remark was more in jest of the news... the voting group may have some impact on mayoral or congressional elections but in the wider gamut of things it is insignificant. Two things:
1. Indian-Americans aren’t a significant voting bloc. Most Indian-Americans live in electorally secure states, so they don’t have much impact on the ultimate impact. They can donate money to candidates, but that’s it.
2. Indian-Americans were already switching to the Republican Party due to perceived anti-Muslim bias, rise of China and host of other international relations issues

It all depends on this election - if enough people vote to change the current “regime”.Exactly. Local players, even at that. Plus, the Republican Party is a dying party anyways lol
Insignificant in terms of numbers, I agree, especially if you’re talking about the Indian American Sanghis (Tulsi Gabbard & Trump supporters etc.) who find common ground with the American Right Wing in its xenophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment. My remark was more in jest of the news... the voting group may have some impact on mayoral or congressional elections but in the wider gamut of things it is insignificant.

What’s your take on their influence in terms of financial contributions and attempts to replicate AIPAC?
The polarizing nature of the BJP is helpful to Pakistan in another way in the US in that it does seem to have split the moderate Indian American Hindus and Muslims from the Sanghis, but I think those differences will be papered over if the Congress comes back to power.
