I usually don't like dwelling on this topic, but I am making an exception here because I felt ppl 've misunderstood the Indian culture to such an extent that they assume, "this" 3 letter word was considered a taboo in ancient India.

When I watch an Indian channel, I see a lot of ads of condoms and other advertisements that are suggestive in one way or another of extra marital relationships.

To me, Indian culture would be very similar to what we have back in Pakistan - generally conservative. But watching their movie trailers (I dont watch Bollywood movies) and TV, it does not seem like.

My question to Indian members would be - How rampant is pre-marital sex and consensual relationships without marriage in India? Is it slowly becoming acceptable?

I know for certain media in not representative of a society. It glamorizes and exaggerates but still I would like to ask.

You went wrong when u added the reference to a "conservative" society. Which I believe is no way related to the question you have raised.

And regarding your question, its is rampant and overt in metros and not rampant yet covert in villages.

I m sure you meant well, but the (only) three videos I found online had some objectionable content, one of them being the kissing incident. However, to my surprise, I also got innumerable videos do such content from different educational institutions. So I don't understand why JNU is getting the limelight.

If you lived in Delhi, you will know #JNU students moonlight as Prostitutes for hire,with the tag college student and they are dime a dozen of them,You might have seen only one kissing incident,there are many mms being circulated around,but if you look in the campus as other people have said,they are stoned junkies,with leftist ideas of anarchy and indulge in no inhibitions after getting stoned(You understand what i mean,Gangbangs and etc.)
Most of the JNU girls are of pandu face types or ugly.

There is a reason why JNU got its name and for the first time these things have come out in open for the whole of India to see,for this JNU alumni and its cabal of students,teachers are crying rivers of blood at the loss of face of the Institution.Did they not have the sense, that for indulging and promoting,grooming, Anti-National sentiment in campus for decades,that someday it would spill out into the public and get exposed in the process?

i have been staying in gurgaon (for more than a decade) and not in new delhi. but most of my acquaintances are from delhi. me and my acquaintances, must be very ill informed regarding the ill activities that are/were going on in the JNU campus as it escaped our attention for all these days i had been in NCR. morever, I am from NIT silchar and my hostel and other hostels as well, had seen a fair share of whores during our 1st sem ragging days (we had to go bed late and wake up really early to visit seniors' rooms , for "introductions". during one of those intros we stumbled onto such liaisons. point is no college is pearly white.
secondly, i do like to get stoned sometimes, and i guarantee u , as an occasional stoner, this is thousand times better than get high on alcohol and gang rape six month old kids, which is rampant in not only delhi, but the whole country as well. should we purge the whole country as well ??
regarding pandu girls of JNU, i dont think they get admission in JNU on the basis of their beauty. so whether is pandu or gandu, its inconsequential.

Colleges have such students,but some are more than others,its like the prevalence of such things is found more in JNU when compared to other campus,in other worlds its everyday affair there. Yes, stoned but do you know what you do after you get stoned?
kid rapes are done by lower income group.
There is a reason Drugs are banned and not Alcohol as its the lesser evil.

There are many colleges in Delhi where you find beauties with brains, its just that JNU gets the unwashed, naxalite,pandu face type students
