Probably you should, especially if you have low esteem and could not get a girlfriend. In that case JNU would make you feel better of yourself and give you super-easy opportunities to have casual sëx.

Only people outside Delhi would be surprised at antics of JNU. People who live in Delhi know very well how JNU rolls. I even know the place where JNU students do drugs and sëx in public. It is a small hill in middle off the forest inside JNU campus. I have forgotten the name but remember the route as I have visited it a couple of times, once through main gate and another time by scaling a wall (as the Bhasha Indonesia student which was showing us around was stoned (and drunk too) and had forgotten his ID in his hostel). My College is just 500m away from JNU and we come across a lot of JNU students whenever we venture outside.

The only problem is that girls in JNU are unattractive (even if they are more available ). If you want to see pretty girls, best place is M-Block market of Grater Kailash-I followed by mostly colleges like Gargi and LSR. I am talking from South Delhi perspective as in North Delhi, most of pretty girls are in all-female colleges of DU usually doing graduation in useless subjects like English literature.


JNU is visit worthy if you want good food at low cost (Ganga dhaba) or want to score casual sëx with some stoner chick (washed, rather than the smelly dirty one you find on street). The accusation of organized sëx raket may or may not be true, but all tales of free sëx certainly are. And given that JNU students have filmed pörn in their hostel, it being true has higher probability than it being a lie.

Now here I would clarify that I have not partaken in these activities, but that is because I have better standards and capability; but if you have low standard, are desperate, and want to score with some stoned girl, be free to visit JNU. Just tag along someone from JNU and ask direction for that hill. And don't worry about place. JNU is sparsely populated and 3/4 of campus is composed of Babul and Kikar forest. You would have no problem in finding a spot (if hostel is not available).

want for sex is primal instinct, it has got nothing to do with west.. people are not having casual sex because they became westernized.... they are having because they got freedom..
earlier society had lot of influence in stopping it, by keeping women in jail and taking away their freedom.

A similar connotation could be drawn that in older days women were also allowed to choose a groom of their own and their was large scale awareness albeit limited to upper class but it was there. I usually don't like dwelling on this topic, but I am making an exception here because I felt ppl 've misunderstood the Indian culture to such an extent that they assume, "this" 3 letter word was considered a taboo in ancient India.

Yes there was a time when Kunti was allowed to have sons born to "devtas", Sita was allowed to choose her groom, and so was Panchali. Women were given enough respect in ancient India.
Indians became prudes after we were attacked and captured by foreigners to whom love and lust meant the same. Interestingly this the time when women in Indian society were relegated to a secondary role.

I m sure you meant well, but the (only) three videos I found online had some objectionable content, one of them being the kissing incident. However, to my surprise, I also got innumerable videos do such content from different educational institutions. So I don't understand why JNU is getting the limelight.

When I watch an Indian channel, I see a lot of ads of condoms and other advertisements that are suggestive in one way or another of extra marital relationships.

To me, Indian culture would be very similar to what we have back in Pakistan - generally conservative. But watching their movie trailers (I dont watch Bollywood movies) and TV, it does not seem like.

My question to Indian members would be - How rampant is pre-marital sex and consensual relationships without marriage in India? Is it slowly becoming acceptable?
