Jirgas of FATA elders in all agencies should be convened.

These elders are illiterate and backward. They are not trained judges. It is you that doesn't realize the harm they are doing. Just being old isn't deserving of respect. That's another backward aspect of Pakistani culture.

I am not sure about PM IK but PA is already at work & this needs to happen asap & open declaration should be given against PTM (TTP).

COAS and Imran Khan should immediately meet FATA elders and ask them to convene their jirgas and where How to deal with PTM should be decided. Most people of FATA are with Pakistan and they would deal with these morons more effectively.

Empower people of former FATA, fund their lashkars and merge them with the army, provide benefits and retirement to them, give them modern equipment and vehicles, and accomplish all this through their Jirgas.

Until they fully merge with KP, provide them security. If need be, fly helicopters and armored vehicles to thwart any potential TTP/PTM.

Agree with what your saying but this should have taken place back in 2006. Many Lashkars were created to fight TTP, many elders supported Pakistan army, many Jirgas took place in support of Pakistan and its army, i remember reading about a group called Ansar Islam which made alliance with the Pakistani army against ttp and lashkar e Islam.

What happened afterwards, Pakistan army and government failed to provide them with security, training and weapons. Bombing took place in Jirgas, hundreds of elders martyred, Ansar Islam a group in alliance with the Pak army defeated by Lashkar e Islam and ttp whilst the army didn't aid them, leaders and members of Lashkars which supported Pakistan were killed.

Today these people could have helped Pakistan and Pakistan army would not have been needed. The Lashkars, Ansar Islam, the elders would have dealt with PTM.

Most of the Lashkars were secular and normal people helping our army, they definitely would have sorted ptm out.
