Christianity and Islam are not majority religions in India. An American might ask "How much more Christianity do we need in this country?" when referring to the excesses of the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacists who are driven by religion. A Pakistani might ask "How much more Islam is needed in Pakistan?" referring to the excesses of the TTP or due to sectarian violence. Similarly, as an Indian - I can ask that question with regards to Hinduism because of gau rakshaks or men dragging women out of pubs and beating them. Point being that neither Christianity in USA, nor Islam in Pakistan nor Hinduism in India - is in any sort of danger. But a significant number of ignorant citizens led by some frenzied social media blitzkreig believe it is.

Personally, I would not have any problem if each and every Indian choose to become Christian or a Muslim. But practically, once the population of Christians and Muslims reach a significant amount, the tensions will rise and talks of separatism will begin. And considering our history, I have full trust in our elites that they will let the partition happen, this time more easily due to the presence of social media, while several activists playing the role of catalyst. And talking about Hinduism in danger, its not, but when it will be, it will be too late. Faith of a person should be their personal matter and they should not be barred from believing in whatever religion they want, however organised conversions through NGOs and other various sources should be banned. 1. US is a christian nation and its currency says "In God we Trust", It does not say "in the US constitution we trust", or not in science we trust, or not in logic we trust.

Comments by a Rajasthan minister is a matter for the people in Rajasthan to discuss. As long as it is not the official policy of the BJP, there is nothing wrong in that statement.
